Furniture conditions could be improved inside the hotel specially the doors to the rooms and the TV stands and bathrooms. I was very happy with our start otherwise."

"I have fun every time I go here and the staff is great. The hotel shows it's age in some spots but it's a fun getaway. The pool is a classic and a great way to spend a few hours between seeing things in LA. You can walk out to Hollywood Blvd for a bit then chill in your room or by the pool. It is hard to find a pool chair on weekends and it is first come first serve so get your spot early. The staff is always great. Parking is ridiculously expensive and I haven't been there one time when the main lounge wasnt being used for an event at least one day. Overall I enjoy my stays and will be going again. It's the best way to experience Hollywood and then get away from all that crazy when you're tired of it! "

"We traveled to L.A. the first time and was looking for the usual Hilton/Marriott but, and landed on The Sun Rose first night was a pleasant change. Our flight was delayed into the late night and there wasn't a doorman to show us the way when our ride got to the checker-floored piazza, so it was a bit confusing as the check in lobby is tucked inside behind the amazing mirror-ball centerpiece. The room was clean in general with nice temperature controlled, but did find tiny bugs under the bedsheet which I asked the staff to change. I wish there was a microwave, but you can request for the kettle. The view wasn't great facing the street and got noisy early in the morning with the traffic, and didn't help with the noisy neighbor that might have party too hard and showering/enjoying TV/talking 4 O'clock. Hind sight we probably should've requested a room change but just thought the day after would be better, plus we weren't there for the whole day everyday so didn't want to cause too much fuss. The hotel roof-top pool looked as amazing as on the photo, although it operates in limited 10-7pm, which we didn't get to enjoy as we left in the morning and got back past 7pm usually so that was a bummer. The gym was by far the best I have seen in all of the hotel stays with all sorts of equipment and a spacious separate studio room; there was not enough dry towels when I was there, but at least there is the refrigerated-wet-towels I could use.
