「Stayed for one night on our way to visit friends. We had a lovely dinner in the restaurant and then a wonderful comfortable night's sleep before a fantastic breakfast in the morning. All the staff were friendly and attentive, and we particularly appreciated being shown how everything worked in the room such as the coffee machine and the Aircon. Would definitely stay here again if we were in the area!」

「I haven’t stayed at Owston hall for some time but I’m really glad I returned.It is so nice to stay in a traditional family run hotel.The beds the food and staff are all wonderful.The prices they charge to stay in these beautiful surroundings continue to amaze me …such value for money and I will definitely return 」

「Overnight stay after an afternoon at the races. Cannot fault the hotel at all, perfect position, room with view of course, handy for railway station, excellent breakfast. Would definitely stay again. Also got better deal with expedia than our friends who booked direct with hotel. Thank you. 」

「I had a lovely stay at the Best Western Plus West Retford Hotel. The grounds are beautiful and the historic building adds a lot of charm. My room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout. Dinner at the restaurant was excellent—fresh and well-prepared. Only downside was the breakfast, which felt a bit basic compared to the rest of the experience. Overall, a peaceful and enjoyable stay. Would definitely return!」
