Overnight stop en route from London to Keswick. We were made very welcome by reception and the room was warm, clean and comfortable, especially the bed. The evening meal was pricey for what was basically a bar meal, but the quality was high. We would have welcomed a "Senior's Portion" as we felt unable to tackle the attractive dessert menu. In the morning, a hot shower and a excellent hearty breakfast set us on our way.
