「I was able to check in online before I arrived at The Kicking Dickey. The staff were very helpful and friendly along with the pub which I thought was very welcoming. My room was at the rear of the property so away from any noise. The room itself was comfortable and well maintained, I think it might of been a converted stable. Nice functional bathroom with a shower and a very comfortable single bed. Lots of free parking outside the property. All in all well worth a stay.」

「The cricketers itself was very nice pub food was okay but nothing special, breakfast was good. Our room (the best)was located in a converted bungalow over the road , on arrival i was handed rhe keys and told its over there!! 「The rooms aren't actually in/ above the pub, there is a separate building out the back with the rooms. The building isn't anywhere near as attractive at the pub! I was a little disappointed as it was a birthday present to go to The Henry Moore Foundation, dinner and stay over. The rooms are nice, we had a king room and the bed was huge and comfy- no complaints about the rooms themselves, other than they were very hot. I would stay again if in the area, but not as a special occasion.」

「I booked to stay one night with a chance I might need a second night. Room was a separate wooden chalet. Door very difficult to open. Small bathroom with shower a bit difficult to access unless you have long legs. Mirror near toilet not easy to see. Glad I didn’t need to make up. Breakfast was a bag with croissant and porridge to mix yourself and an apple. Jam, butter orange juice also provided but juice not very nice and make your own coffee from Nescafé in room. 「Hi arrived around 2 30am, no-one was about , other than a guest waitfor towels for the room, whe we got to the room it had no toilet paper or towels, we had a drink, but again no spoons, the bed was very cheap and lumpy and hard. We had to sleep with the window open, because of the heat ,the road was very loud. The window had a broken safety catch, so a child could fall out, the bed was under the window, the room looked to have been made up to a third word standard, I think it's owners...
