The kings arms was fine. It’s a busy pub in an old building. The live music is clearly audible in the rooms above, but having said that the bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The carpet is a little grubby, but all in all I can recommend.

Comfortable mattress. I have a scoliosis and an old and / or low quality mattress causes me back ache. Kings Arms mattress does not leave me with back ace, unlike many other hotel mattresses!

The location was good. The young lady who showed me to the room was lovely. However, the rest was not so good. The curtains did not close properly. The room was extremely cold, which made sleep difficult, and it took a long time to work out why. The cause turned out to be an open window in the bathroom which I hadn't noticed as blinds were all down when I arrived. On closing the window the smell was terrible. As it was a room over a pub there was no one to complain to. On closer examination in the morning the room was full of cobwebs with the addition of a spider. And there was water damage in the bathroom. However, on waking after a short sleep, I turned the extractor fan on and after a while the smell receded. I didn't shower in the morning though for fear of the smell returning. This room number 4 needs a lot of tlc!

Staff very helpful as waited fir us to arrive from airport. Lovely room and comfy bed. Walls could do with a pick of paint though. Plenary of and good choice of snacks in the room with added bonus of fresh milk in the fridge. However toilet didn’t flush. Checkout a bit early at 10.am

Very quaint adorable place with a pub downstairs complete with great menu, outside seating and beer garden. Absolutely recommend if you need a place to stay when flying out of Stanstead airport!

Convenient location

This is a nice hotel in a very convenient location. The room was generously appointed and very comfortable. Staff very friendly. However, it just feels a little tired and needing of a little more attention to detail. Not bad for the price I guess, but not great.
