Room was clean but whole floor smelt of cigarette smoke. It’s a shame because the rooms are letting down the hotel as the rest of the hotel is very nice and it could be a top spot to visit. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the grounds were stunning! Food was also great but more on the expensive side. I had the burger on the menu (£18) it did come with chips and was tasty! Good place to stay if you want a short stay but it could do with some TLC

Fantastic staff, lovely setting, nice dinners, great gym and comfortable beds. Disappointing breakfast and very unhappy that the hot tub and steam room were not working throughout our 3-day stay, and that we had not been informed in advance.

Room was really nice and good value, I found this room better then the upgrade I had last time I stayed here, the reception area could do with being more inviting, the reception staff are bit clinical not smiley would still recommend this hotel just for the value for money room.

such a beautiful location and did what I needed for a one night stay. Only small thing was a bit of improvement on housekeeping and maintenance in the room I was in, but i would stay again.

My stay was very disappointing. The elevator was completely out of service, forcing me to haul my heavy luggage up to Room 17 on my own. To make matters worse, upon entering the room, the toilet had clearly not been properly cleaned or flushed prior to arrival. Basic standards of hygiene and facility maintenance were missing.

The grounds are stunning as you approach the hotel. Lots of parking which is always a plus. Reception staff were very welcoming. Unfortunately I booked this hotel to enjoy the spa facilities. I booked the day of the stay. When booking in, there were notices to advise the spa facilities were out of service. Extremely disappointed. If I had known this prior or been notified I would have changed my plans. The room it self was very nice, bed was comfortable.

The standout was the very good breakfast. I did not like the pre-check in questionnaire procedure. Our mattresses were sagging and we had to turn them over in order to be able to sleep better.

Nice place & great location. Used for a work trip. Food was good & room was spacious & clean. The only down side was on arrival. I stood waiting for a drink & was acknowledged by 3 members of staff whilst waiting who turned their heads away from me. I waited a good few minutes before asking for assistance. The same thing happened on my next visit to the bar.

On our one night stay we were pleased with our room but thought that a plan biscuit would have been nice with the tea & coffee. And being on the flight path for Stansted was a surprise but not too noisy. But the hotel was close buy to our location

No wifi in the bedrooms and cannot get mobile connection in there either, so only place to work is in the reception area which isn't great if you have calls.
