Wyndham Grand Pittsburgh Downtown

10/10 Excellent

"Rooms are dated and small, but clean. Common spaces are updated and well maintained. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We stayed on an upper floor and it was very quiet. Also, a great view of the river, state park, and Mt Washington. The best thing about this hotel is location. Walk to almost any downtown destination, including stadiums. Short drive to other interesting places like the University of Pittsburgh. This is a great city and if you enjoy walking to see a city, this is a great place to stay. If you are just going to hang out in the hotel room, this may not be the ideal place for you. Breakfast was included with our room and was very good. Buffet on weekends is excellent. They will even make you an omelet upon request (included). If you bring a car, there is only valet parking at the hotel and it is pricey! But you have in and out privileges at any time. Otherwise there are nearby parking garages for less but the clock restarts every time you leave and return. So the end result may not be cheaper."

"The staff was great the elevator kept breaking down so we walked 6 flights to get to the room. Don’t even bother advertising free breakfast. They had some prepackaged items and as it ran out they I’d not restock! Was beyond lame! Room was clean and beds decently comfy"

"Staff at front desk was excellent. Two women waitress in the bar/dining area were ignorant and didn't acknowledge the fact that our order was incorrect and brought me the cheese that we asked for on our hot sandwich on a plate. Also, our shower was freezing cold even after running the water for a long period of time."

"The whole place is falling apart, advertised amenities are non-existent, mold, water damage, and broken lights and furniture in the rooms. The staff don't seem to care about anything. The hotel double charged my card and then said they wouldn't do anything about it that I'd have to dispute it with my bank if I cared so much. Utterly awful."

"This gorgeous classic hotel in the heart of Pittsburgh is an easy walk to anywhere in the downtown area, the North Shore including PNC park and the Warhol Museum, and to the South Shore's Station Square area and the lower Monongahela incline. Our room was clean and comfortable and the staff was helpful. The hotel offers valet parking, but a less expensive option is right across the street in the Mellon Square parking garage (where we parked). The hotel has a grand lobby and several options for drinks and dining including a speakeasy in the basement and a good coffee shop. If you are staying in this hotel or any other Omni, be sure to join the Omni Select Guest loyalty program for extra perks such as drink vouchers and room upgrades."

"My flight landed very early and I needed an early check in at 8am. They were very gracious and provided me the early check in opposed to checking in at 4pm. So thank full for this! Room was spacious and clean. Staff very nice and helpful."
