Very good option for exploring Singapore and very good value for money. If you don’t need all the expenses of other hotel accommodations in Singapore, or prefer some more independence like cooking/preparing your own food, this is a good option. Would stay again.

The service and accommodation were good. For rooms with wash and dryer couple benefit from facilities to hang up washed clothes. Also the hotel can earn buy selling laundry detergent.

Review of large room: very decently sized. Bed comfortable. Shower was large with multiple shower heads with various settings, all of which were great. *Air conditioning* was excellent, this is perhaps the most important aspect. Shortcomings: induction stove was slightly difficult to operate, required research/trial and error to figure it out. This can be rectified with a small laminated card with operation instructions. *Biggest shortcoming was the washer/dryer, as in my case, the dryer function did not dry my clothes at all, despite many attempts on various settings and cross examination with my friend's dryers which did work slightly better, so I knew which setting was supposed to work - to no avail. First, the dryer in my room (A219) does not work, so that should be looked into. Second, some basic instruction could be provided for proper operation.

The Hmlet Cantonment is a lovely furnished apartment rental designed to serve modern travellers and digital nomads. Cantonment Road is a busy street and the sounds of surrounding building construction can be unrelenting — not a problem if you are situated on the rear of the building or keep windows closed. My suite was clean cozy but needed a new coat of paint. The communal lobby workspace area is the highlight of the property together with the outdoor plunge pool and comfortable back garden. Close to many restaurants, and grocery stores within a 10 minute stroll.

Very disappointed with our room. The photos were glammed up. The pool is tiny and dirt. This hotel is little more than a back packers accommodation without the cheap price. Nothing was provided except for the shower. Rooms are only serviced twice a week including towels. The list goes on!

Great place to stay. They cleaned our room every other night. The common areas were very helpful in picking up snacks or utensils for meals. It was close enough to all the attractions that grab wasn't too expensive.

6 day stay was mostly good, nice coworking space and living concept. Except on the final day we had a bee infestation on the last day. The staff came and cleaned it up the first time, but no one followed up afterwards as more bees came into the room and died inside the room. At one point my room had 15-20 bees dead and alive. The floor and my suitcase had so many dead bees inside which I had to remove myself.

Room was a good size, internet worked well, free coffee and tea was a bonus. Loved the address to communal kitchens. Only thing that was annoying was the flooding in the bathroom. But I was told it's a wet room style. Would return for sure as the price was great.

Definitely a shared space/hostel vibe in the lobby, but otherwise, the rest of the property felt like a hotel. Some of the outer areas (namely the pool) could use a little more regular cleaning (a lot of fallen leaves), but other than that - everything was very clean and well maintained. The rooms were a comfortable size for two and were nicely decorated. The internet works great and the Netflix on the tv is a plus. The beds are a little firm and the pillows a little flat, making sleep a bit uncomfortable (but not the worst). The bathroom also gets a little wet when you shower because the glass doesn’t have a door/doesn’t extend enough. Minor complaint, and they do provide enough towels for you to put one as a barrier on the floor. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive and made check-in/check-out super easy! There’s also an amazing complimentary coffee machine in the lobby that helped us start and end our days. Thank you to the team at Hmlet Cantonment - would highly recommend and will definitely be staying here again on our next trip to Singapore!

Positives: Comfortable bed, spacious (medium room), modern design. Nice co-working area and coffee machines (before they ran out of milk... in Singapore..) Negatives: Weak shower, cleanliness can be improved. They need to clear the sheltered walkways from the big massive plants so people can walk on them when it's raining. Entrance to the hotel is pretty bad for pedestrians, definitely would not rate this a 4* hotel...

Hostel, instead of hotel (except you do get a private room/bath). Shared coffee machines were always either out of coffee and they needed to order more or broken. The staff seemed apathetic and clearly incapable of seeing & ordering the upplies they need BEFORE running out. The room was pretty quiet and nice housekeeping staff but most of the staff acted like they were just doing the bare minumum and were apathetic. Rooms were way too pricey for what you got. Will stay somewhere else next time.

The most impressive thing about this place was the cozy, boutique and chic feel you get. It's spacious (for singapore standard) and the best part was the staff were super friendly! Imagine being asked if you would like a coffee when you first arrived, hell yea! That's the best kinda welcome! It's as if you are being welcome to someone's home. Oh and the FREE flow beer from the tap! Would definitely come back many time. Perfect for travellers who like some quiet space to work on your laptop. Oh and that little backyard was soooo cozy!!!
