Below par. Utterly disappointed. Should not be called a hotel but a bed and breakfast or a guest house.
Start from checking in. Reception was not warm and friendly. Luke warm reception.
Lifts are outdated. 2 sets of buttons. Not sure if it’s going or not.
Rooms, terrible. For a brand like Mercure, tasteless.
TFT screens , made eyes sore. No access to hdmi slot.
AC control, Honeywell brand. Old not digital.
AC vents - dusty
Sockets. Old. No usb slots
Bath tub. Oh my good. Who in there right senses would want to have a bath in such a miserable looking tub. Shower head is fixed. Needed to move pretty close to the wall to get some sort of water on you. Not shower enclosure.
Toilet seats not soft closing. Bangs with all the noise available.
Restaurant was a mess. Seating was like, cafes are much better.
Had a meal at lobby and decided on a takeaway and needed cutlery, receptionist said it was to be paid for. This after spending 65 Sin dollars.
Meanwhile across the border, what I paid for one night at the Mecure, covered 4 nights at the Trinity suites and the stay was absolutely fantastic. No comparison.
For the standard expected and being it Singapore, this Mercure was/is far below par. And has left a sour taste with regards to Singapore. Shouldn’t not generalise really but that is the reality.
Not again.
