The complementary wee dram was very welcome after the drive & fighting the midges while watching the sunset at the beach. We were in a top floor room. Chatted with Marion & Moray that evening & over the full breakfast offering, talked about Applecross & some culture, events & travel tips which we were useful and gladly adopted! 「We enjoyed the Cawdor House. Absolutely lovely. It was my 60th birthday and Manuela went above and beyond helping my husband plan a wonderful stay. Beautiful flowers and mimosas for my birthday breakfast. She and her staff made our stay so comfortable and special. The rooms and dining room were beautiful. Delicious breakfast!!」

「Self check in with info on a chalk board. Initially didn’t see the board and no one around. Didn’t meet anyone in person during stay. Room wasn’t that clean. Cobwebs and dust, old water bottle down back of bed, nuts on the carpet. Shower gels on top of shower. Nice setting, safe and quiet. Nice cafe downstairs. Room was spacious with character.」

「The property was lovely, though the room showed its wear with some strange paint splotches on the ceiling and a bathroom that could use a little update. Most alarming though was someone else walking into our room during the night, as we didn't realize the door didn't automatically lock.. was quite frightening.」
