I had a really restful stay. The room was comfortable, and the hosts were friendly and able to provide vegan/vegetarian options for my breakfast. Breakfast is served around a communal table, so it's a great chance to chat with other guests.

I would highly recommend this B&B. I stayed for two weekends during the Commonwealth Games and would do so again. The owners were really friendly and welcoming. The room was nice and you could tell they had put thought into welcoming guests, adding little extras like make up remover and cotton wool, facecloths, earplugs, pillow spray and hot chocolate as well as tea and coffee. There were a great range of breakfast options to chose from too, with meat, veggie and gluten-free choices. The location works well for visiting Edinburgh or Glasgow. I travelled by train and it was less than 10 minutes' walk from Caldercruix station. The only thing I would warn about is that everyone sits round one big table at breakfast, which is great if you enjoy meeting your fellow residents, maybe not so good for those who don't like socialising first thing in the morning.
