"Staff extremely helpful and friendly, the buffet breakfast was good, although clean very dated in places, although it does look like it's having a renovation as decorators in at the time of visiting. Room was ample for our needs, great sea view. Would happily stay again."

"Pleasantly suprised at how lovely the hotel was. The corridors to the room didnt look that great, but on arriving in the room to find it was so nice. Great size, a little quirky. Quite luxurious, comfy bed, kettle and coffee machine in the room, you could get coffee downstairs any time you wanted from a free coffee machine that tasted great. Big bathroom with towels and shower gels. Nice bars and lounge areas and a delicious free warm cookies in the afternoon. Located in a great area, stayed to attend a concert at the open air theatre. Took about 20 mins to walk there through the town. There was free ponchos at the hotel that came in very handy. Would definitely stay again and would definitely recommend."

"We stayed in room 314 and our room was spotless apart from window not staying open. Spa was good although jacuzzi broke on 2 days which was disappointing. Breakfast was nice although a little cold and tea/coffee machine not working but we asked for tea in a pot which came straight away Enjoyed our stay apart from seagulls early morning squawking"

"Peter and Stuart are great hosts who ensure your stay will be good. Bed comfy, heating and ventilation good, WiFi 100%, and a little fridge to store the fresh milk. Wonderful breakfast. From just outside their hotel, you can walk down through Peasholm Park during hot daylight hours and keep cool under the trees. We walked back up from the seafront on the well lit roadside. Thank you for a lovely stay."

"We stayed at the Dolphin for 3 nights in July. The location is good, easy walking distance from railway station, town centre pubs, restaurants and the other tourist spots at the harbours and nearby park The rooms were clean and comfortable with a good standard of toiletries and tea and coffee making facilities. The breakfast had a good selection of cereal and hot food which was cooked to order. Gary the proprietor was very friendly and extremely helpful offering advice on things to do and how to get to neighbouring towns. Altogether very good value and would recommend it"
