I like the original victorian feel needs the cleaners to be bit more thorough and could do with a bit more maintenance like mold and mildew is not good but the pool area is amazing but very slippy needs more walkable mats in there I witnessed the staff fallbover with a bundle of towels in his hand But overall my stay was comfortable

Hotel was very central for shops restaurants pubs and beach . Parked the car in a car park not too far away which was free for people with disability badge . Breakfast was okay . Liked the cheap drinks in an afternoon. Nice view of the sea from bedroom , shame about the rubbish outside the window. Huge comfortable bed , the bathroom door kept sticking . Kettle and coffee machine supplied but there was no socket near them .

In it's time the hotel would have been very regal but although clean and tidy it is in great need of refurbishment. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The room was spacious with a comfortable bed, easy chair, desk and tea/coffee making facilities. An ironing board and iron stored in a cupboard with plenty of coat hangers. Overall we enjoyed our one-night stay at The Royal.

The pictures on this hotel looks amazing until you get there and was not very good mould in the bathroom there was a mirror to get ready next to but with no plug socket nearby to do my hair the room was big and a nice sea view but only if the owner would spend some money in this hotel it would be a great place to stay says on there website that u can pay extra £9 per day for parking but there was not no parking nearby and had to walk 10 minutes to a car park

The room had a foul odour. There was a half eaten box of biscuits under the bed that had expired. The carpet was extremely dirty. Dirty toilet. Sheets had stains on and the runner on the bed was stained with marks that looked like old blood. There were no other rooms available and they did not offer an alternative. They gave a can of air freshener. I would not recommend this hotel.

First hotel with a pool where you have yo pay to use the pool ! which is very small. The hotel is very old inside , thick carpet throughout makes it smelly. The room is clean inside, bathroom is clean but old. There is a carpark very close to the hotel (Palm court) at an extra cost. It's centrally situated , near shops and restaurants.

The staff were lovely, breakfast was excellent, the restaurant didn't open till 6pm, so as we were going out we ordered bar food, which was ok, tasty but nothing special, convenient for us though.again the staff were lovely, We asked to change rooms because of a small problem,it was done without any fuss. It is slowly being renovated and just had lovely New windows in the lounge, some of the rooms need updating and the secret balcony could do with abit of TLC,, but it's a beautiful old building, and as we've been staying there for 20 years,we will continue to stay there,
