Terra Nostra Garden Hotel

"This is one of those properties you hesitate to give a great review- only because you don’t want it to become so popular that you can’t get a reservation. But, I want the staff to prosper so I will tell you that it’s beyond amazing! From the moment we arrived, we felt so relaxed. And, that was after a red eye from Boston. The property is incredibly beautiful - the gardens, the outdoor restaurant (with live music), the thermal springs, the spa. Every detail was perfect! So clean, too! And, the staff was always accommodating and helpful. Great location for exploring Sao Miguel. Amazing breakfast! Easy parking. 10 out of 10! We will definitely be back soon!"

"The staff at this hotel were helpful and friendly. The breakfast was fantastic and the rooftop pool is the highlight! Some of the hotel is dated but they keep it very clean! There is some minor road and street noise, so if you're a light sleeper you may want to keep that in mind, but I would return here again! Overall, excellent value and the location is perfect."

"Sao Miguel is small enough that you can choose one accommodation centrally located and drive the whole island. Verde Mar and Spa offers ocean views overlooking a beautiful surf beach. Included breakfast is great and in house dining is convenient after a day of touring the island. Ribeira Grande is quaint without the urban cluster of P. Delgado. The 20 minute drive to the north side of the island is certainly worth it."
