「For Memorial Day weekend, we decided to stay at the Plaza Hotel in Las Vegas (NM)..! :) The city is one of our favorite destinations in the state, and we love taking the scenic route (Hwy. 104) from Tucumcari to get there! :) It was our first time to stay at the Plaza. 「Where to start, the lack of staff during a Memorial Day weekend was inexcusable. One person at the coffee shop (Starbucks) and one person at the bar. Other than housekeeping, the staff were not friendly or seemed to lack interest in their job. The casino payout was awful and when you did hit, it took the staff a long time to respond. This is a resort ran like a small town hotel. Very strict regulations regarding what beverages or food could be brought into the hotel. Resort prices with Motel 6...

「Great restaurant and bar but both are closed on Monday and Tuesday. When you book, stipulate that you do NOT want the room (104) next door to the kitchen on the far end of the hotel. An unfortunate location with a forgotten entry area and view of the trash dumpsters. Room was spacious and clean but the location was extremely disappointing and we were put there because other rooms hadnt been cleaned.」

「It was clean. Excellent water pressure and hot water in the shower. Walls are paper thin. If you are a sound sleeper in need of a good shower and a decent bed this is your place. But unless you can sleep through hearing every single sound the others guests make maybe you should pay for a better hotel.」
