「Très bel hôtel très propre . Personnel à l’écoute.」

「Lovely owners who were very welcoming. Right in the middle of town and almost next door The Prince of Wales pub. Very good breakfast. Lovely room and nice comfy bed. Highly recommended.」

「Good location in Dartmoor after a day of walking. Our room was well equipped. Pub nearby served nice food and drinks. Right next to hotel you can take the Nun’s Cross walk, which is about 2 h. Saw many ponies, cows and sheeps on the way as well as beautiful landscapes.」

「Very old building, but the room was modern yet maintaining the atmosphere of a 400 year-old inn Evening meal was good with multi choices breakfast also Would stay here again without hesitation Staff were excellent, friendly, helpful」

「Excellent location for walking the moors. Noisy road if on the ‘hill view’ side. Very dated inside. Room very grubby and needs a makeover. Staff lovely and polite. Only 2 people I saw, chef and the young man who did everything else. Parking great. Plenty of it. The park literally on your door step.」

「Such a beautiful, beautiful place in a lovely setting. Such attention to detail, the furnishings, the gardens and sitting areas not to mention the wonderful breakfast that was served. Our host could not have been more helpful or pleasant. We hated that we could only stay one night. Hopefully we can return one day !」

「Suited my needs perfectly!! The room was small but adequate for me as a single traveller for an overnight stay. The hosts are helpful and accommodating. There is a fridge and a microwave in the room which proved useful and the bed was comfortable. The shared bathroom was pristine with a walk in shower. There is a kitchen and basic breakfast items are provided. There was tea bags, sugar and milk in the room with a kettle. As this is a house that you share with other guests I was mindful of the...

「Hotel does need some maintenance doing, our room had some damp in a patch in corner. flakey paint on wall in bathroom. At breakfast there was a bulb going in the main light which was flashing all the time we were having breakfast. Fire exit handle was broken in restaurant and fire extinguisher needs looking at. Food at breakfast was very nice 👍」

「We stayed for a wedding just outside of the village and it was just perfect. The lady on reception last Saturday (17thOct) in the afternoon /evening was great, so informative and took our photo no problem. Nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be back. The radio in the room was also a nice touch instead of a tv. Thank you.」
