Went here with my family (my husband, myself, and our three girls) and we will never go back. The actual layout of the inn makes no sense. The breakfast options are all stale bread, and the room itself was the worst we've ever stayed in. I have a huge allergy to mold and between the first hour my skin started to act up and then came the stuffiness. I knew something wasn't right when my youngest got very stuffy and complained of a headache randomly. We finally went to the restroom and there it was. Black mold caked on the entire window and bathtub. Awful. Not to mention, non of the drawers have handles, I cut my leg on a screw sticking out of the dresser holding the TV since all the knobs are missing, my daughter stepped on a nail since the carpet was ripped up and the under carpet padding was showing. There was no sense of cleanliness besides clean sheets. The carpet was sticky and black and made out shoes sticky, there was pop corn all over one of the beds and floor, a lighter under the desk and black dust all over the bathroom sink. Not to mention the TV remote was broken and when asked for batteries we had to go get them. My husband and I hardly slept as the neighbors were in and out all night slamming their door, cussing, cars squealing in and out of the parking lot. The same truck with a loud glass tail pipe drove through more than ten times being incredibly loud and the homeless community outside was incrediblly loud around 2-3am as they argued for an hour outside.
Cut my leg open on this. None of the cabinets had knobs. Very weird
Pills and pop corn were all over the room
Pilot never turned off, open flame all night. Very dangerous

The card to open the door doesn’t work properly I have to walk back to the receptionist 3times to change and even her attempted it didn’t work so we didn’t get the room we reserved. There’s hair in the bed when I open the bed sheets. The microwave is rusty and the chairs in the room are dirty.

The attendant first said they had no first floor rooms as was our preference. The first room they gave us, the cards didn’t work then when the attendant finally let us in there was water coming out of the mini fridge covering most of the bathroom floor. He offered to wipe it dry but when we opened it there was a huge chunk of ice melting so we pointed out that it would just keep melting he reluctantly offered us another room (on the first floor).

**Extremely dirty room.** Cleaning powder from the previous guest was not vacuumed and was visible throughout the entire room. The new bedding was clean on first glance, but looking further revealed some hardened oil/pore discharge (most likely a popped blackhead or pimple) *on the bedsheet.* My room also had oily cup marks on the desk, and shockingly enough, a shattered television. The curtains were also partially broken and as a result, couldn’t be closed all the way. The bathroom was relatively clean, but had multiple dead bugs in the ceiling lamp, making it nauseating to even look at it.

Place seems rundown. Room was clean, yet the overall experience unpleasant. Microwave was old, worn out & kept turning off. No extra blankets. Mildew in the caulking of the shower. Room was not vacuumed very well. The breakfast was the most minimal I’ve had at a hotel, they had one toaster so everyone was waiting around to use it because that was the only way to eat something warm. Hardboiled eggs was the only protein. The day we left, I found mouse droppings on our bedding. I let the lady at the front desk know, and she did not even seem phased or concerned. She said she would let management know. I heard the beep from smoke alarms going off in rooms below our room, and that went on the whole time we were there. This happened to one of our relatives staying in a different room as well. He spa also Had a really bad smell in his room and the front desk was not interested in helping him out with it. I was embarrassed that we were all staying in this hotel, I wish we had chosen a different one for our family event. Down by our room was a disconnected ice machine and a trashcan, and there were rats in the trashcan. Seems like they need to get some rodent pest control. Also inconvenient to have to go to the pool area to get ice! The hot tub was shut down, which is the only thing that you would want to use in the middle of the winter in Salinas. I will not stay here again!

Rooms had ants and spiders. Desks were full of grime and stains. Chair was also stained with what looked like urine. Jacuzzi was inoperable and had police tape around it. Good thing was the pressure in the shower and the continental breakfast.

Floor was dirty-the rug and bathroom. Large handle on shower door broken and dangling. 2 or us Stayed 3 days and never offered clean towels. Mattress old with large sink holes. Sheets could not be trusted so we went and purchased new king size sheets and made the bed with new sheets over white motel sheets.

The room had cob webs, the TV didn’t work, you had to unplug the microwave in order to use the coffee maker, no hooks anywhere to hang things on, asked twice for extra hand towels, and got wash cloths instead. No Kleenex and nowhere in the bathroom to set things down on. The bed was comfortable The staff was excellent!

The room's lock was not working. Every time we had to call maintenance staff to get inside, once we go out for breakfast or dinner. We had to walk three or four times up and down to get the keys sorted. We were in second floor, hence that was not preferred after a long day of travel.
