"If you’re thinking of staying here just don’t. The directions on the website for using public transport from the airport are incorrect. I ended up having to drag 80 pounds of luggage for 1.3 km. The staff acknowledged that their website directions are incorrect but didn’t apologize, or even offer to comp my breakfast. The hallways smelled heavily of disinfectant. The bed sheets had cigarette ash stains. The shower tile was covered in black mold, the sink wouldn’t drain, and the carpet stank of urine. I have photos. I ended up sleeping on top of the bed, not in it. I was too exhausted to go downstairs to the people who were so disinterested when I checked in. The pictures on the website showing beautiful views do not reflect reality, while it’s a safe enough area during the day with lots of workers present do not venture out alone at night. The Luas is right outside but you can’t access that service from the airport. If you do choose to stay here, opt for the expensive taxi ride from the airport, it’s safer and you won’t end up with your arm in a sling having wrenched your shoulder from dragging your luggage for so far. Any business can have a bad day, and that happens, but it’s how your employees handle the situation that matters most. The staff here need more training on and making things right."

"Very clean. Bed very comfortable. Slept extraordinarily well. Staff was on point, and pleasant. Excellent common spaces with lots of seating, nice lighting and plentiful charging stations. Room size was uncomfortably small, though. Could do with more hooks for hanging jackets, towels, etc. Bathroom light motion detector timer needs to be reset. Lights kept going dark while using toilet & ahower. Wash cloths and mini fridges would be welcome additions."

"A clean, well located, reasonably priced hotel with a helpful staff. We didn't eat at the hotel so I cannot speak to that. "

"We needed a hotel for one night between planes and chose Skylon based on reviews, location and price. We got a very well cared for hotel in a neighbourhood with many options for restaurants and pubs, near a park with exactly the room we wanted for a very fair cost. The city bus was easy—get a Leap card as you pass the SPAR store in Arrivals and catch the 16 or 41, which stops right across from the hotel. The hotel was very clean and warmly modern. Our room was exceptionally quiet and the bed comfortable. We recommend Skylon—and will stay again. "

"Our second stay at this hotel. Always clean, always comfortable. AC works and windows open. Very cool decor - lots of art everywhere. Colorful. Close to airport. My only suggestion is for softer pillows, which they might have available but it was only one night so we didn’t ask."

"Lovely friendly welcome, great large room with a beautiful view. Had an evening drink in the garden and a walk along the beach (accessed directly from the end of the hotels garden) which was lovely. A great change to city centre hotels. Didn’t eat there as a quick stopover but from what I experienced I do recommend."

"Wonderful hotel fantastic location with the Dublin express airport bus stop round the corner, tram stop right outside, supermarket across the road, loads of restaurants and next door to the 3arena. Far enough away from the centre to be quiet but only a 20 minute walk alongside the river if you venture that way. Room was great loved having a very functional kitchen area with everything you could want (including a washing machine) Would 100% recommend"
