10/10 Excellent

"I ended up with two different rooms. Apparently, the first room had not been cleaned and was pretty disgusting, so they gave me a second room, which was probably one of the nicest rooms that I have EVER been in. As long as you get a room that was cleaned it's an extremely nice hotel"

"Our stay as a family of 4 here was wonderful! First off I called ahead about early check in a few days prior and found out it was available for a small fee. I called again the night before and they were able to give us a fairly good idea about availability upon arrival. We anticipated being able to check in around 1pm due to them being fully booked for our room type but to our surprise we arrived around 10/10:30am and were able to get access to a room! So happy after spending many hours traveling! The hotel has an on site café, restaurant, and bar. We did utilize the Cafe which was great in the morning and super convenient! I also loved that they truly cared about customer service! The man who checked us in was very nice and helpful, the hotel has a text message number so anytime I had a question about the property or needed extra towels, I was able to send a text and get a response within 2-3 minutes! Their water refill station downstairs was great to fill our yeti water bottles and while we didn't get to the pool this time, it was nice to know it was there for the kids if we had down time! I only wish there was a hot tub or spa too! The bed was comfortable, the room appeared clean and we were happy with our stay! Will be returning on our next trip!! Thank you Hotel Burbank!"

"It was a last minute decision to get a hotel near LAX and it was around 10pm. We couldn’t book online so we decided we’ll just drop in. First two had only expensive rooms available. Then we saw Sonesta. Not familiar to us. They had a room available and not only that, price was reasonable. The staff were very accommodating and helped us out. Room was amazing. We’re now putting Sonesta at the too of our list when hotel room shopping."

"Overall, we had a great stay at the Hilton Universal City, but it definitely started off on the wrong foot. The biggest issue was check-in. Our room wasn’t ready at 4:00 p.m., and the time kept getting pushed back twice. We were traveling with an exhausted toddler, so waiting until almost 5:00 p.m. to finally get into our room was frustrating. We had planned to spend that time at the parks, so losing almost an hour of our evening wasn’t ideal. To the hotel’s credit, they made it right by providing complimentary breakfast for our entire stay, which we appreciated. Later that evening, after moving our car from the Universal Studios parking garage to the hotel, our room key wouldn’t open the parking gate. It only took a quick press of the call button for someone to verify our name and room number and let us in, so it wasn’t a huge issue, but it was another inconvenience after an already delayed start. After that, everything went smoothly. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff we interacted with were friendly, and the location can’t be beat if you’re visiting Universal Studios. There was also a wedding at the hotel on Sunday, so it was busy, but it never negatively affected our stay. Overall, despite a couple of frustrating hiccups, we enjoyed our stay and would consider staying here again. I just hope the check-in process is smoother next time."
