"Upon checking in, the woman at the front desk was very rude. It seemed as she didn’t want to be there. Not once did she smile or greeted us. There was also no help with our luggage. Not to mention as the days passed by we noticed many other families get treated way differently, and even receive a hotel tour when all we got was a flyer and no direction at all. Also upon checking in the receptionist only mentioned a charge or $47 for the hotel fees but I was charged $97 due to parking also. Even though we never received valet parking and was told we could self park our car with no charge. Which doesn’t make sense since we are guest at the hotel and not once was told about this fee. When it came to the room itself, it was not the cleanest. There is rust all over the room and the sink drain was broken. Overall nobody in there was welcoming except the valet employees. I don’t know if it was due to the color of our skin but we were not treated the same. "

"When we checked in, Joe, the front desk clerk was kind enough to upgrade us at no additional charge. when we got to our room, We had issues with our sleeper sofa being very uncomfortable. I went down and spoke to Gabriel, the night clerk, he was quick to change our room without any questions or hesitations. We will be staying there again in future trips."

"Front desk staff was rude and the room was disgusting. We didn’t have another option for that night so we had to stay there but as soon as we left we went somewhere else to shower and use the bathroom. There are 2 motel 6 on the same road and we booked the wrong one for that night. Please be careful when booking in this area. "

"The suite was very clean. The king size bed was very comfortable. It was like home away from home. "

"The hotel is a bit outdated you can definitely tell. I stayed for 3 nights, and overall it wasn’t my best experience. The pillows were extremely soft and would completely deflate, which made it hard to sleep. I’m not sure if it was the bed or the pillows, but I didn’t get much rest. You can also hear noise from neighboring rooms pretty clearly. The bathroom lighting could be improved, and there was a noticeable chlorine smell when showering. I’m also used to hotels including breakfast, so that was on me for not checking ahead of time. I’ve stayed at many hotels in Brownsville when I visit home, and this one is definitely not my favorite. Parking might get full I would make sure I came back by 7 pm not sure if I can park next door and risking vehicle getting towed. Otherwise plenty options to eat "

"⭐☆☆☆☆ – Serious Housekeeping Failures We recently stayed at this hotel with young children and were deeply disappointed by the complete lack of housekeeping service throughout our stay. Despite making multiple requests to front desk staff for basic room cleaning and fresh towels, our requests were consistently ignored. On two consecutive days, we returned from the beach to find our room had not been serviced, leaving us with no choice but to reuse soiled towels and sheets — an unacceptable situation under any circumstances, let alone with young children in tow. What was most disheartening was not just the lapse in service, but the apparent indifference of the staff when we raised our concerns. Basic hygiene and responsiveness to guest needs are fundamental expectations of any hotel, and this property failed to meet them. Unfortunately, we will not be returning, and we would not recommend this property to families or anyone who values reliable, attentive service."
