"The stay went very well until there was a power outage and everyone had to evacuate. May have been related to the construction which to be fair I was aware of. Re-booked by the staff into another hotel efficiently. Overall the staff and the stay was excellent."

"Just spent nearly a week at the Copthorne Tara. Room was a bit shabby and dated ( although I don’t care about the latter), but clean. And for what I paid, the size of the room was great, and it was just a standard double. Staff helpful. Excellent location near the High Street Kensington Tube stop, and Hyde Park-Kensington Gardens, which is important to me because I love wandering through that park."

"We arrived at 15:15! Upon arrival we gave our details to the member of staff at check in. We were told our room wasn’t ready and would have too wait a further 15 minutes! Considering that check in starts from 15:00 and we also had a reservation at 16:00, this became an inconvenience! We were then told our room wasn’t ready too find out that it was not the room that we had ordered so was terribly disappointed with our first impression! The bed was however quite comfy and the bathroom was very clean and nice! The air conditioning was very useful aswell"

"I was upgraded to a loft room, but I would have preferred a standard double room. The staircase in the room was quite steep and you needed to watch your step carefully. Breakfast was ok, but I would have preferred a coffee machine rather than a small coffee pot for my table. But for the price, this hotel is outstanding value for this location in London."
