「When I first called the 1-800 number for Microtel, the person was not very helpful at all. I then booked a room thru Expedia for a much better rate. I did call the MicroTel I had reservations at to confirm my room. The person who answered was very helful and reassuring that I did have a room booked at the Expedia rate. Upon my arrival to the hotel, the staff was very helpful. The hotel was clean and efficient. The pool and exercise room looked clean. I don't know if this is everywhere but no...

「The room I booked is a lake view room. The view of the room is very good and the room is big enough, BUT,,,,, The blanket on the bed may NOT have been changed for a long time. The very bad smell made me unable to sleep all night. I strongly suggest that the management can quickly check every room, don't let this problem affect the reputation of the Hamptom Inn.」

「Nice setting. Just be aware if you get one of the double bed rooms the sleeping area is very small. It’s an older motel, and the walls are thin. On the plus side, the property is well maintained and right on the lake. The fire pit is great. Other rooms may be bigger, and they offer glamping. Coffee and muffins in the morning are good. If you want a bigger breakfast you will have to go elsewhere.」

「The staff was accommodating even for late check-in & able to organize water cattle & barbeque on request. Overall we had the best sunset while staying in cottage 18.」

「Hotel was comfortable and slept well. But the room was not cleaned as garbage from previous customer was not cleared and the towels were not changed before we checked in. We checked in a bit late around 7:00pm and still the room was not cleaned in proper way. Although the staff removed the garbage immediately when I informed them but the towels were pretty dirty and I saw that after my shower next day morning. Bit disappointed about hotel’s cleanliness.」

「Building needs some TLC and updates. While in the common area of the B&B at night we could hear lots of scratching in the walls and then we did see a mouse. The breakfast was just okay. Having stayed at several B&Bs this breakfast was probably on the bottom of my list. The office where we checked in smelled like cigarettes. I would probably not stay here again. Not the worst place I've ever stayed but definitely near the bottom.」

「This is a historical property that is nicely modernized while keeping a significant level of the historical elements. The rooms are large, nicely furnished and incorporate a theme related to the community and its history. Bed was high quality and we found it to be very comfortable.」

「The room was very clean. The bed was made before we got back to our room. The bathroom was clean. Be careful in the parking lot, you may roll into the lake. Basically, it’s all in the name!」
