You can spend an afternoon exploring the galleries in Lake Pukaki Information Center during your trip to Lake Pukaki. Stroll along this family-friendly area's lakeside, or simply enjoy its cafes.
The turquoise waters of Lake Pukaki frame spectacular views of Aoraki/Mount Cook, creating one of the South Island's most photographed landscapes. Rent a kayak to explore the glacial lake or drive the scenic road toward Mount Cook Village for hiking trails through alpine meadows.
Great base to explore Aoraki Mt Cook, Mary, the owner was friendly and gave good information about the area: Twizel, Mt Cook, she has a good taste of decor. Spacious room, mini fridge, guest lounge, self service complimentary breakfast, wide open space (located on the airfield, but no noise at night). this lodge has great view of mountains. I loved everything. I would stay again if I come back to this area.

What a great place to stay. It’s been overhauled in the last couple of years so everything is pretty new. Someone put a lot of thought into what to put into each unit. Very spacious. Very clean. Great staff!

A truly magical setting with service to match. We’ve stayed in many New Zealand hotels, and this was the first where the staff seemed truly focused on exceeding guests’ expectations. And boy, did they! We had room service dinner, and each—absolutely delicious—course was delivered exactly when we were ready for it, and at the perfect temperature. We stayed 2 nights but only had 24 hours of WiFi. The office was closed when I went to ask for the next 24 hours. I had work to do and could not do it. There should be a way to have WiFi for the entire stay.

Mantra is a well located place with lovely 2-3 bedroom town homes. The washer and dryer were very convenient and efficient. We were provided with detergent and the staff was happy to provide extra if needed.
Very well located and walking distance from the Old Church and lake. Close to restaurants and easy to spot from the high way.
Try the pies at Run 77, hopt chocolate and amazing breakfasts plus free wifi.
For dinner, try Tin plate kitchen and bar. Lovely Italian resto ith delicious food...

Huge property. Shared a two bed dorm which was great (not the expected 6 or 8 bed dorm). Facility is a little older but staff is nice and location is good for Tekapo and Mt. Cook Trips. Very affordable as well.

The owner offered to order me dinner on the two nights that we were there. We’re both light eaters so she brought one serving one night of a chicken schnitzel.. we shared and a lamb-shank the second night. Both were delicious and filling. It was handy and much appreciated.
