"This is a nice hotel in an excellent location. Everything was good except the check-in. I was treated like an interruption, not a customer. Maybe it was a bad day. When I asked about the parking, I was told that it is handled by a third party - end of discussion. (Parking is a source of confusion and could be handled better.) Other members of the staff were very nice and helpful. The room was clean and had been recently updated."

"Hotel overall needs a total gut job. My room had an electrical wire running on top of the carpet running the width of the room. It ran along the side of the bed. At the midpoint, it was connected via an extension chord and where it went past the end of the bed, it was tacked down on top of the carpet with blue tape. I’ve never seen that in a hotel room, ever. The woman working front desk was very nice, very engaging. Staff good, brick & mortar way below standard."

"Multiple Stays, Recurring Safety and Maintenance Failures I travel for work and gave this property multiple chances. I am done. July stay: the air conditioning was completely out and no one contacted me before check in. I could have made other arrangements. Separate stay: a system failure allowed another guest to access my room with their key card while I was inside. That was terrifying and completely unacceptable. A hotel's most basic job is keeping your room secure. Most recent stay: my 5th floor room had an active roof leak. Rain was visibly bubbling behind the paint and soaking into the carpet all night. The dripping eventually woke us. That room should have never been assigned to a guest. Three separate stays. Three serious failures involving comfort, security, and basic safety. This is a pattern, not bad luck. I genuinely feel for the front desk staff who are left to face guests with problems that are clearly coming from above them. They deserve better too. Business travelers especially, look elsewhere in Birmingham."
