「We came in the off season and the place was empty. We were the only guests the entire weekend. The bar and restaurant were not open and there was no staff on site. As such there was no continental breakfast as listed. It was quiet at night and heard birds singing in the morning which was nice. 「Property is conveniently located near restaurants and a downhill walk to the shoreline. We had a suite and the shower water pressure was really light - hard to get a good rinse but probably good for the environment. The curved sofa looked cute but the bottom cushion didn’t stay in place and wasn’t comfortable. The bottom sheet kept coming off the corners of the bed when we were sleeping. Daily housekeeping services were definitely lacking. They missed two days out of four and the other days...

I really enjoyed the tour I received from the cart driver (I totaly forgot her name, but I do remember she met her husband there and has been volunteering there for many years) She has a passion for the place and after the tour I could see why. Grounds had everything you would need to make your overnight stay or week long stay memorable and relaxing. 「It is a perfect place to sense of small-town New York. And just across the road there is a short walk to Schroon Lake which is marvellous as it is lined by trees that are close to 100 feet high. 「Upon arriving I was told my reservation was not found and booking through a 3rd party (Expedia) it sometimes cancels on its own. After some “searching” they found it and said I got the last room. When I finally got into my room the lock would not work and this was a problem since I’m a single mom with young kids. I was told it’s fine you need a key to unlock the door and only the staff have access to this. I was very unsettled and not heard. I had to prop a chair under the handle for safety.」
