"Hotel was convenient to Thompsons Point so if going to a concert you can walk. Very minimalistic though. No water in rooms or at breakfast. When we went down for breakfast most items were gone and we went at 8:00. Did like the small pillows on the bed!"

8/10 Good
"The reservation was correct and I got a room with 2 beds. The room was clean and quiet. The breakfast buffet was nice with scrambled eggs, wheat toast, coffee. The front desk employee with the star shaped nose ring was shouting some jokes at some coworkers while checking me in which made me feel I was not the focus of their attention. The toilet in room 224 was slow to flush and I was not sure if it was working normally. I didn't remember to report this to the front desk, so I should have done that."

"It was a great location with a breakfast! One thing that I was concerned about is cleaness of the carpets. They look a bit old. Except that, I enjoyed staying there."

Inn at St John Portland In-Town

Inn at St John Portland In-Town

10/10 Excellent
"It’s an inn and a bit on the old fashioned side but that’s fine and you couldn’t beat the price. I got a room on the top floor with my own bath off the hallway. It’s a climb but they did offer to bring my bag up. Room’s big, comfortable, has a fridge, etc. Breakfast is enhanced from my last stay. It’s right in the center of town, a five minute drive from the art museum."

"Staff were friendly and helpful. Stayed one night (2 kids - 2 queens). Very comfy bed, generous checkout time at midday and flexible valet as we collected our car at 2:30pm after exploring Portland and heading onto our next pit stop. Very clean and had everything we needed. Had we stayed longer we’d have checked out the pool."
