「What a gem. Beautiful setting and grounds, and the perfect blend of a little bit vintage with great updates. (Rainfall shower heads! ) Rue and his son went above and beyond to make me comfortable. Early check in when I arrived , no problem. When I came in out of the rain, they put my clothes in the dryer. I had an early departure , they arranged a taxi for me and made me a sandwich to take as I left before breakfast was served . Lovely hotel and lovely people . 」

「Small, boutique hotel that had numerous cosy seating areas and lounges. We were upgraded to a suite and had a separate lounge. Just beautiful in every way. Black out shutters, comfy bed, clean bathroom. Host was super friendly and helpful. Restaurant food out rounding and much better than local village. Couldn’t get a more perfect location. Walk down the hill 5 minutes to the village of Sintra and up the hill 5 mins to the Iniation Well and Palace. Cannot fault this place. 」

「Staff was very accommodating, and were able to store my baggage for the day while I went out to explore. Note that the hotel is in the driving restricted historic center, so likely your taxi or tuktuk will drop you off on the main road, and you'll have to walk 5 minutes to the hotel. Breakfast was small, but had everything we needed for a healthy start to the day. Room size was good, and bed was very comfy.
