The only thing to understand before booking is that it’s a charming converted mansion so sound proofing may not be the best and some rooms might feel a bit tight, especially if you’re a larger person. "The room was spotless with king sized bed. AC/heater, and good tv and internet connection. There was a bathroom two steps up including a small enclosed shower and claw foot tub with sink and toilet. All was fresh and clean. There was also a small alcove with a twin bed on the same level as the bath."

We stayed on the top floor, a climb well worth it for the charming balcony and beautiful view of the Moorish Castle. The room was clean, tidy, and thoughtfully presented, offering a quiet space to unwind after exploring. Its location is excellent, just a short walk from the National Palace and surrounded by great cafés and restaurants. A warm and welcoming guesthouse that offers great value and a peaceful base in one of Portugal’s most enchanting towns."
