「My husband & I had to travel from the other end of the country to visit an elderly relative in the nearby hospital, and needed a reasonably-priced last-minute room for 2 nights. 「The Blacksmith's Arms was an excellent choice for nearby Glyndebourne. This is a nice neighbourhood with an interesting history and good communications - I do hope that they don't turn the area into a "new Town" as some developers are hoping to do. Strongly recommended! #」

Very comfortable accommodation and a great breakfast with a friendly and welcoming staff team A little bit of bar noise from the pub if you are an early to bed type, and you are staying on a main road so there is some traffic noise if you want the window open. Having said that, we would definitely stay again when in the area. 5 minutes drive into Lewes. The main road isn't walking friendly.」

「The hotel looks very new. Not sure if it’s a new built/ newly refurbished. It’s very modern and the staff there (Brighton) was wonderful and very welcoming during check in & out, luggage storage etc. Such a convenient location as it’s more or less 5 mins walk from the train station. About 15mins walk down to the seaside which is close enough. The room is clean and all essentials kitchenware included if you want to cook during your stay. We didn’t cook as there’s too much great food temptation...
