"Nice place, bit old and a bit rundown, the fabric chair in our room had old stains on it. But parking was great and easy, we walked easily down to the dock area, and numerous resteraunts, felt quite safe."

"Modern, stylish and clean, but lack of noise proof on window and no heater working, mattress too soft sagging that resuled in back pain."

"We loved the staff and the room, it had a fire place which was nice and cozy during a chilly night. The breakfast was really nice but the staff openly complained in spanish about work and family issues. The garbage truck sounds and the open hallways were very load early in the morning. Wearing ear plugs could possibly help. "

"I liked the history of the place and the antiques and care they have for the style of the original 1904 design. It's situated walking distance from the wharf and a short drive to Cannery Row. It's also surrounded by several restaurants and shops. The room we stayed in didn't have A/C, so that might be challenging in the Summer. But it has a lovely fireplace, which warms the room pretty well. My husband and I are older, so it's helpful to have safety bars in bathroom and unfortunately this room...

It's also surrounded by several restaurants and shops. The room we stayed in didn't have A/C, so that might be challenging in the Summer. But it has a lovely fireplace, which warms the room pretty well. My husband and I are older, so it's helpful to have safety bars in bathroom and unfortunately this room didn't have that. It was difficult for me to get out of that deep tub. We will return, and perhaps stay in one of the historical rooms next time."

"We only stayed one night, but absolutely loved our time at the Carmel Mission Inn, and will definitely be back here any time we're in the area. First off, the location is fantastic — just walking distance from local boutiques, coffee and a grocery store right across the street in Carmel Valley. But the true magic of this place is the friendliness and kindness of the staff, and all the little details. For us, it was everything from the wooden room keys with sweet little messages to the postcards offered in the lobby, the spacious outdoor seating area, the luxury toiletries, soft towels and robes, and absolute stellar cleanliness and upkeep! The staff was so friendly, accommodating and kind. Every single person we encountered was smiling and sweet! In the past, we've always stayed at little B&Bs when we've visited the area, but Carmel Mission Inn is definitely THE place to go, and we'll be staying here on every trip back in the future : )"
