「Comfortable bed, some noise from people on the landing as there was a gap at the bottom of the door but this was only a minor inconvenience. Friendly staff, plenty of teacand coffee in the room too.」

「A beautiful house, with a spacious and comfortable room - with a massive bath! (We paid extra for the room with a bath and we’re not disappointed.) It was wonderfully peaceful and felt so relaxing. 「Lovely little place , parking is tight . Super clean and fresh . I never stayed for breakfast as up early but he made me a take out bag with fruit, yogurt , pastries etc which was really nice of him. Also had complimentary biscuits , water and crisps which was a nice touch 」

「Pascal was excellent. We arrived slightly early but he welcomed us with canapes, glass of fizz and useful local information. Room had everything you need and anything missing they could provide. Pascal was excellent cook and would adjust to your needs. Magnificent sour dough bread. Pickering beautiful town and accommodation just 5 minute walk from town centre. 「The Royal Oak has a wonderful location in a quiet village setting and visitors can expect a relaxing change of pace. The countryside around is spectacular for England and the people are without exception friendly and helpful. I'm perhaps biased because my family lived in Gt Ayton in the early 19th Century and although I was born in North Yorkshire today, as a visiting southerner it's very much my home ground.
