A stunning old pub with amazing original features. Great location with a vast array of walking trails & footpaths nearby. Would recommend a visit to Wensleydale Creameries, only 5 minutes drive away to Hawes.

Lovely cosy pub. We stayed in a beautiful suite in the main building which had everything we needed. Lovely choice for breakfast, perfectly cooked. Staff very friendly.

Lovely old pub. Comfortable room with everything supplied. Nicely decorated. Not spotlessly clean, but it was dog friendly. Friendly, helpful staff. Great base to come back to after walking. Easy walk into Hawes. Good atmosphere for an enjoyable drink or food. Open fires were lit and so relaxing to sit by. Good breakfast with excellent service. We are already thinking about a return visit.

Really enjoyed our stay, don’t understand some of the negative reviews. It’s a lovely traditional pub, the food was very nice and the rooms were clean and felt recently redone. The only issue we had was the WiFi wasn’t great working on the telly, so the second night we struggled to stream anything. A WiFi booster / extender might solve this issue? Highly recommend visiting the falls behind the pub (they are separate to the inn and you have to pay a small fee). Also Hawes is a lovely 30 minute walk away! Thanks to the staff, we’ll definitely be back!

Great room

The room was spacious and very comfortable. It was clean and tidy. Plenty of coffee and tea was provided in the room. Plenty of hot water, a shower as well as a bath.

Old and Charming

Great stay at the green dragon inn. Its a really old pub so if you are into modern, this will not suit you. The staff are brilliant. Food was good. The room was fantastic, better than we expected. Crisp white linens on the bed, fab pillows and duvet. Great nights sleep. I would definitely recommend this place.

The food in the pub was really good. Homemade, good quality ingredients. Bedroom was good, bedding lovely and clean. The teapot, coffee pot were a great addition to the tea, coffee, bottled water and biscuits. Unfortunately the bathroom was in need a good clean, the floor was dirty and the shower was showing evidence of black mould and a general good scrub.

Weekend Break

Stayed at The Green Dragon as It was a good base for our planned walk at Ribblehead. Our room was very nice. The bathroom was OK, few big cobwebs though. TV signal was poor and there were no mainstream channels that we could find. The pub is nice and old, very busy for a village pub and the food was very good. The car park was very busy most of the time so we had to park on the road.

A beautiful 13th Century Inn with original flagstones and beams etc. A great selection of beers and the food is excellent. The appartement we stayed in is just behind the Inn and very quiet. We will be back.

The Green Dragon didn't disappoint.

Absolutely amazing atmosphere with all the fires lit in every room. Amazing history and almost like a film set. Really busy at Sunday lunch but thats because the food is really good. We had a small apartment which seemed to be brand new. Huge comfy bed so had the best night sleep!

Lovely stay

Lovely charming pub with much history. Recently refurbished rooms were very nice, spacious and comfortable. Plenty of refreshments in room plus daily water. Pub food was lovely and normal pub prices. Breakfast was also lovely and the staff very welcoming. Our only complaint as such was that once your order for hot food breakfast or dinner is taken, it can take between 40-60 minutes to atrive. However, if your relaxed its not a problem, if your a key jangler this may annoy you! The staff are apologetic for this and it was down to low staffing not for lack of effort. Great location for many attractions, will happily return.

Lovely, newly renovated property. Lots of walks and villages around 2 miles away with pubs. The Waterfall to the rear is a sight as well. The food in the green dragon is out of this world, really excellent. Room newly renovated, clean and the WiFi was fantastic as well. Did think it a little stingy that they charged £15 for a dog to stay, however there was a tennis ball, dog biscuits and a pack of poo bags in a box on arrival. Would definitely come back again
