"Hotel was ok but nothing special. Annoying to ask for an early checkin and be told that the room was ready but it would require an extra $50 payment to get in before 4pm. Typical of this hotel where they squeeze in as many extra payments as they legally can. $100 per night deposit fee per room; we had 2 rooms for 3 nights so had $600 additional charged to our credit card. Hopefully we will get it back but it is ridiculous to require so much for a deposit. Room was adequate but not what one usually sees in an upscale hotel. Elevators were always busy and slow as there were only four elevators for 30+ floors. No desk, two small uncomfortable seats without foot stools, no spare blankets, tiny refrigerator with no freezer, and minimal toiletries. I’ve stayed in much less expensive places that were better furnished. Location is the only thing really excellent about it."

"The location was excellent. It’s 10 minute walk from the Chicago metro station on the redline. It’s right off Michigan Ave and you can catch various bus routes from there. Hotel is walking distance to many restaurants, stores, the beach and other attractions. There is a pizza and ice cream place right next door. We arrived early around 1pm and the front desk allowed us to leave our luggage in the front. We were also able to leave our luggage with the front desk the day we checked out at 11AM and didn’t leave to the airport till 5pm. Our room was a decent size. We were two travelers. I had the king bed and my brother had the pull out sofa bed which he said was comfortable. We didn’t have much of a view, only of other buildings nearby. I didn’t visit the terrace but my brother did say it was nice. The shower in our room was VERY TINY. I’m only 5’0 and I felt crowded. The only issue I had was with the towels. They left us unwashed towels that were covered in lint. I requested new ones multiple times. It wasn’t until our second day in the evening that we were able to finally get new towels."
