Warm welcome, very friendly staff, felt authentic Japanese style hotel, lovely to have onsen available although quite small. Excellent food and great location.

The hotel looks like it has recently been renovated. Everything was lovely and clean. The room was fantastically comfortable, we even had a sofa to sit and watch the view over the lake which was lovely. Good amenities in the room with hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities and a fridge for putting our cold drinks in. Due to personal reasons we didn't partake of the outside onsen that is on site. I did check and they were fine with tattooed tourists using the onsen. Staff were extremely helpful and most, that we spoke with, speak very good English, which was very helpful for us. I would definitely recommend a stay here, in this peaceful location (we were there mid May). Get a lake view room if you can.

Very old hotel, poor maintenance of common parts (dark path on carpets). Room was ok, bathroom was renovated. Expensive for the condition of the hotel.

Spacious and very clean hotel with polite staff who can speak English. Right on the edge of lake chuzenji. Ask for a room tt faces the laie for good views!

The staff are super helpful. I like the lake view room, yet almost every shop and restaurants nearby will be closed after sunset, so better book the hotel’s meals in advance.

An enjoyable stay in Nikko
Really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is located just in front of Lake Chuzenji and from our balcony we are greeted with the beautiful view. The rooms are big, with good amen dories. It’s a small hotel so service is personalized. Their service staff spoke English, and the owner’s son was really helpful with providing recommendations for hiking trails and places to eat. Loved the onsen (they had a small in - door and out-door one) . Location of the hotel is within walking distance to the kegon waterfall . And easy to get to via bus (from Tobu-Nikko station) - stop 28.

Worthwhile stay for the price
The hotel was clean and comfortable but the interior was a bit outdated with the hotel staff providing a good level of service. The buffet breakfast was excellent. The hotel sits across the road from Chuzenji lake and is within walking distance from all the town has to offer. Overall it was very good but not great.

当日急遽予約を取ったのですが、スタッフの方も丁寧でとてもコスパの良いお宿だと思いました。 施設全体の老朽化は否めませんが、宿泊したお部屋はリニューアルされており、とっても清潔で明るくて満足度が高かったです。

Good all around hotel choice
A nice hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was a good spread of food and had two times to choose from. I forgot to sign up for dinner which had signups close around 1600, and food is scarce around the area so make sure you have a plan for dinner when staying here. The hotel is very close to the lake, a few shrines and the waterfalls. Overall the location was great. I did not try the onsen the hotel offered but the bathtub in the room was very nice.

アットホームな雰囲気
こじんまりとしたホテルですがスタッフの方々の対応が凄くよかったです。 テラス付きの部屋でしたが広くて綺麗。目の前は中禅寺湖、華厳の滝も徒歩10分ぐらいです。 料理も美味しかったです。 ただお風呂が狭くて少し残念。 作務衣とナイトウエアがあったので楽です。 アットホームなホテルでくつろげました。

居心地のいい宿です。
4階建てでエレベーターはありませんが、スタッフが荷物を運んでくれるので心配ありませんでした。 料理はとてもおいしく満足できました。 お風呂はこじんまりしていますが、ゆっくりできました。 中禅寺湖の目の前にあり、華厳の滝までも少しの散歩でつきました。 なによりもスタッフの心使いが居心地の良さを醸し出していました。

久しぶりの日光
久しぶりに日光に行きました。硫黄臭の温泉も華厳の滝も良かったです。朝食前に中禅寺湖の周りをランニングして、気持ちの良い休日が過ごせました。コロナ禍で夕食をする所がなくて困りました。お宿はこじんまりしていて良かったですが値段は高いと思いました。

快適です。
客室は清潔で明るく快適でした。中禅寺湖が目の前なのでお部屋からもばっちり見えます。テラスもついていました。食事もとても美味しかったです。大浴場はそれほど広くはないですが、ホテルの客室数が多くないので当然かなと思います。露天風呂もあって満足できました。 従業員の方も皆さん親切で気持ちよく滞在できました。 また滞在したいと思えるホテルです。
