「Lovely comfortable room. We were able to check in early and given clear instructions to do this. Breakfast was ordered the evening before and it was excellent. We also had dinner the evening we arrived and really enjoyed the varied and interesting menu.」

「We were shocked at the condition of the property as we had been led to believe--by reviews that must have been 20 years old--that it was well-maintained and supported. There were no amenities (the rooms had a poor quality shower and cracked furnishing), no staff available except during bar and restaurant times, only two parking spaces on the property, and no lift (narrow stairs as well). The "continental breakfast" consisted of tea or coffee you made yourself, corn flakes or granola, and orange...

「Parking can be a problem if arriving later in the evening. Follow instructions given by owners. Breakfast is great staff friendly and helpful. Keep entry instructions handy as had a little trouble finding codes. Rooms 7 and 8 are not where you'd think !」

「The property is 400 yrs old so expect things to be uneven. The current owners have only been there a few years so maybe they still have work to do. The bedrooms are described on the website as "stylish "....I would say plain. The bedding was clean, bathroom ok but it was difficult to get the shower to the right temperature...it was either boiling or cold. Room 5 had a frosted window but it was hot so we had it open. The room could do with a slight update....e.g. more plug sockets and a bigger...
