Told on arrival no food as they said working on kitchen, dining room not open or any room service. Hotel isn't that close to other places either. Not even snacks or sandwiches or hot drinks other than those in the room. They could have provided a temporary provision. Instead told get a takeaway delivered and even delivery drivers took a long time given location. This hotel should not be trading as a 3 star hotel without any catering or any food. Room was cold also as heating on a timer so had to get hotel to provide a fan heater. Only one pillow on beds too low. All together a poor stay, shame as hotel so. Much potential and character.

It's in a lovely location and adequate for us as a base, but the place badly needs refurbishment. The lift was out of order, no food available and as a whole it's very tatty.

They seem to be in the process of updating renovating the hotel but the room was clean comfortable with a nice view of the Wrekin. Only issue was the tv which had poor reception.

The room was great and looked if it had recently been refurbished. The restaurant is being refurbished so no food was available but this was made clear when booking. The bar was open, which was good. Will stay again and happy to recommend.

Room was clean but that was the only saving grace. There was no food nor anywhere really close to get any. and even no change at the bar and most of the drinks were unavailable. It appears to have been only one member of staff on duty as he was running about performing all things. What really set the icing on the cake was the complete lack of spoons with the tea and coffee in the room and no biscuits which would have offset the lack of food. It felt too much bother to make the trek to find someone to get me a spoon. This place really does have the potential to be a good hotel but the lack of thought in the little things have completely let it down. It's all well and good getting people into the place to stay and the room was not expensive but no food for hungry people, not enough drinks and a till not full of change - the longer that goes on, then more reviews are going to be like this.

Clean, comfortable room and cheap. We were just about the only ones there which is a bit disconcerting and as a result the restaurant was closed which we were not aware of beforehand. Hotel is a bit tired too, butfor the price it was really good.

Unfortunately despite it saying on their websites and on hotels.com that dogs can stay for and additional £20 per stay, we were charged £20 per night. Rooms were also very cold. Location is good for walks.
