"A mixed bag: positives: house was clean and the key lock and parking was convenient, and food and drink supplies very welcome. Negatives: our booking was changed fairly last minute from “the terrace” to a different house “the Mews” for unknown reasons. (So my review is not for this listing, but for “The Mews”.) "Booking is made on Expedia, but the you complete the registration on another site. Shower is built into a very small closet. Toilet is on the other side - in another closet. You have to straddle the toilet to use a hand basin that barely fits my hands and it's not possible to wash your face in it without splashing water all over the floor. Entrance way through to the room is in shockingly poor condition. Not the welcome one would hope to see. I would not recommend this room."

"The accommodation/facilities are in need of improvement/upgrade/repair. Microwave supplied (good) but no microwaveable cooking dishes; no suitable knives in the cutlery only sharp knives; can-opener would be useful; pots/pans comprised two frypans and one saucepan but no lid(s). Kitchen tap unit spins as you use it. Plug in sink does not seal - you had to run water continually to wash dishes. One kitchen light flickers then goes off - poor overall kitchen lighting. Fridge was off when we arrived...

"Hotel is lobby and bar area are beautiful, slight issue with our room paid for a superior double but on entering room I realised we had an adjoining door to another room which was occupied by other guests didn’t like this idea at all ,the room was very small with the bed up against the wall nothing superior about the room ,the lady at reception confirmed it was infact a superior room but was happy to change me a better room , the location of hotel is perfect , I would stay here again"

"Ok so driving in you'll find plenty of parking spaces and then receptions at the far end of the building. There's a little bit of work going on but nothing too dramatic. Reception staff will helpful or be able to be a nice if they slow down a little bit with directions because we didn't quite understand where we were going but we found our room okay in the end. The main thing that's noticeable is the carpets hadn't been cleaned for quite a while they need a vacuum at least. Apart from that the hotels fairly well maintained. We were in an accessible room which was fine except for the fact that the shower is in the bath and that meant I couldn't use it. We had come to use the spa facilities which is fairly well located although some extra signs on the walls would do better because we went the long way round which is not helpful when you're disabled. There isn't lift so I had to manage One flight of stairs up and down. Facilities are quite good in the spa except for the fact that the hot tub isn't working and apparently hasn't been working for quite a while. we went in the steam room which was a good temperature and the pool was a good temperature as well. We were booked in for dinner bed and breakfast and the dinner exceeded our expectations. Three courses off a set menu. I had loaded nachos followed by vegetarian curry and Ice-cream my husband had the nachos and a large pizza. Will definitely stay here again."
