「The staff here are very polite and professional. The rooms look a bit tired and the bath plug has not even got a chain??? It's the second time on a visit that we have mentioned this issue. The meter on top of the heater keeps showing that the windows were open but of course they were not. The TV in the room was very difficult to turn off and when searching for a programme the tv jumped 2 channels at a time. That is basic stuff that should be regularly checked. Because there were so many of these...

「This used to be one of the top hotels in the area. Now it's in desperate need of a refurb. All the staff were great. I remember coming here in the early 90's and it's not seen a lick of paint since. Don't get me wrong for £50 for the night being able to use the pool hot tub and sauna it's good value. Would love to see a company take it over and bring it back to it's former glory. Bed was very comfortable and hot water. We didn't eat so cannot comment on the food 」

「The room was spacious, and provides was a complimentary breakfast and beverages to drink. The ensuite is a nice large size. Car parking can be a bit of a squeeze if there are guests with cars staying in all of the flats. There was good friendly communication with the owner most of the time. The WiFi was working, but for some reason not the smart TV. Maybe a previous guest messed it up. The house is on a good bus route, with a stop across the road and regular buses into Derby city...
