「Amanda was lovely: very helpful and she made such delicious breakfasts every morning fresh. The house is charming. It feels like it’s in the middle of the quaintest tiny villages but Hartford is under 30 minutes away and New Haven was an easy 45 minutes. The bed was comfortable and the room was huge. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.」

「While it had "historic inn" charm, all the accoutrements and hardware were modern and thoughtfully installed and presented. The bathroom was especially luxurious and even included a large jacuzzi tub. The large room and bathroom were impeccably clean and though we eschewed maid service by displaying a Do Not Disturb card we returned to our room to discover a neatly wrapped bag of fresh towels placed outside the door. 「The bedding smelled and the mattress was old. The rugs in the hallways were old and smelled . There was an odor throughout the motel. The staff was friendly and the price was reasonable but I will never book an Econo Lodge again. Extremely disappointed」

「The Stannard Inn is an absolute jewel box on the Connecticut shoreline! It is a beautifully decorated coastal chic Captain’s home with thoughtfully appointed guests rooms and public areas. The Innkeepers were so deliberate with the amenities they offered and we could not have been more comfortable or felt more welcome. Will definitely be back again」
