"Wow, what a great hotel! The staff really genuinely cares about making a great experience (more on that later). What travelers in Peru probably care about most is this: Is there a good hot shower? YES, THE SHOWER WAS AMAZING! The location is right next to the main plaza but up high and away from any bar noise. One thing to note, there are plenty of stairs to get ip to the hotel entrance. But the staff was so sweet to us, helping accommodate our weird schedule and providing a carry away breakfast for our 4:45am departure to Machu Pichu. It's very close to the bus station too. The rooftop breakfast/hang out area was so excellent, with the best view in the city - almost made us want to order our meals for take away and eat on our favorite rooftop."

"I definitely wouldn’t consider this hotel to be 4-star. In my experience it was 2.5 to 3 star. Rooms lack air conditioning and fan provided was noisy. Most helpful person was the bellman. Check in / Check out staff was on par with a 3 star hotel. Breakfast was bit more than a 3 star hotel but lacked variety and hours were only until 9 AM. Room and bathroom definitely needed upgrade in terms of furnishings and fixtures. All in all it was a manageable one night stay for us."

"Wonderful location! Stayed one night before catching the train to MP. The hotel is the middle of everything, great spot. Check-in was quick and easy. However, we were given a room that was NOT completely clean. We asked for a different room and they did switch us to another room. The staff then upgraded us to a Balcony Room that had an excellent view to the Sitio Arqueologico de Ollentaytambo and right over the river. Rooms have no shampoo, conditioner or shower gel. No extra toilet paper. What you get is what you have. We tried asking for another roll but did not find anyone at the front desk. There was a fridge in every room. No AC, humidity is high. Breakfast was excellent. Any style eggs, medley fruit cup, coffee, juice, bread with strawberry jelly (not buffet style). The hotel arranged an exceptional transfer from Cusco airport to Ollentaytambo, our driver Luis made the route safely in 1 hour 40 minutes. The train station is a 10 minute walk down hill.👌 We really like this hotel for it's location but sad to say we would not stay here again."

"It’s a wonderfully quirky layout. They do a great omelet for breakkie and the beds are large bed comfortable. Great, safe location. Wifi is pretty weak though…"

"We were at the hotel for just a short time, as we arrived in the evening and out early in the morning for our tour. A bit unfortunate as this was a very nice hotel. They provide welcome cookies, which is a nice touch. Breakfast is also available very early to accommodate those early morning departures! The hotel is a short walk from the train station, so very convenient. They also stored our luggage until our afternoon departure."

"The room was very cold and not prepared for guests. Phone doesn’t work, I might go to reception every time and it was a lot because no hair dryer, no shampoo, no heater. And OMG it was sooo noisy in room at night!!"
