What an amazing experience. The room was clean, great shower with hot water and comfy bed. The food was incredible. The views were amazing. The hosts were so communicative. Picked us up and had dinner waiting on arrival. They thoughtfully put the heater on in our room so was super cosy. They even had hair straighteners. This place is truly a haven.
Beautiful property and wonderful staff!! My mom and I stayed two nights here and loved it. You can’t beat the views here. It is so relaxing and beautiful. Plus the rooms have everything you could need from slippers to flashlights to ponchos in case it rains. Also the food is incredible and all sourced from their garden. Some of the best meals we have ever had. Kudos to the chef! Would highly recommend this resort to anyone especially after days of hiking!
Loved the StarDome!!! The views are stunning!! The breakfast and dinners were excellent and everything is fresh. All the staff was great and Virginia helped us arrange all our transportation and our tour. We also loved Inti, the baby alpaca!! I would highly recommend the StarDome and would absolutely love to come back. This was an incredible experience!!!
This is a very special place where one feels sincerely welcome. The suites, the staff and food are outstanding. The views are just beyond words. The owner Carlos built this hotel by himself and he is there to attend to his guests personally. He also does a lot for a community. We highly recommend this place.
I highly recommend staying here. Virginia is an excellent hostess. Every person we encountered on the property was very friendly. We loved the location, the views, and the hospitality. Very relaxing atmosphere and truly a spiritual experience. If you are on the fence about booking here, just do it. You will not be disappointed. The food at the restaurant is also amazing.
This hotel is amazing. It takes time to reach up to the mountain where the hotel is located, but it’s totally worth it because it has the best view of the Sacred Valley! The food was amazing too. Make sure to check out Condor Temple - it has an amazing energy and valley view there. I’d stay here again if I were to visit Sacred Valley.
It was just amazing views and so many star! From the views being on top of the mountain and seeing the whole valley below. Staff was great too. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it or book it again!!
Driving up the mountain is an adventure. Once you arrive at hotel, it really feels every aspect of our stay has been thoughtfully arranged. Loving the view and everything about Star Dome hotel.
The Stardome is high upon a mountain and offers a private immersion into nature with astounding views. This is a great spot to get away from the hustle and bustle and enjoy quiet meditation, short walks around the mountainside, friendly animals, and incredible food. The hot tub experience under the stars was magical. The service Carlos and Jose provided was warm and accommodating. Our visit to Stardome was a highlight of our stay in Peru.
The hotel is breathtaking! The room and bathroom is spacious. The staff is super attentive. The food was excellent. They make everything fresh.
Definitely 10/10
This place is unreal. Virginia and her team are beyond wonderful. Words cannot express how magical the stay is high in the mountains and under the stars. The chef provides absolutely stunning meals that leave you completely satisfied. My only regret is not staying longer!!!!
Wow what an experience. The staff were super helpful and friendly. The views were amazing. The meals were wholesome and very filling. I can’t fault this experience. Amazing!!!
I wish I could give them more than 5/5 stars! This was an absolutely stunning property. 360° of incredible views day and night. It was a very peaceful experience. The staff were attentive, responsive, and you can tell they all genuinely care about the property. Virginia and Jose made us feel right at home! Also they have multiple animals on the property including a baby alpaca and kittens. I highly recommend opting in on the dinners - they are affordable and the food is fantastic. Free transportation to the local town as well. Overall I am so happy we stayed here during our time in the Sacred Valley
Beautiful view over Ollantaytambo and there’s a short walk on property to a beautiful spot to see the valley and Veronica Mountain (Wayna Willka) which is stunning.
The people are very nice. It’s a lovely spot although quite a hairpin/switchback drive up from town - it’s WAY up on a hill. I’d say that it’s a touch expensive overall.
The coolest property i have ever stayed. Beautiful panaromic scenery from the room and entire property. The pics of the property on the various websites while beautiful do not do this property justice. The staff went over and above to make our stay comfortable. Virginia and and Carlos were exceptional host. The dinners at the on-site restaurant were prepared with local ingredients and were fabulous. We stayed 2 nights and wish our stay was much longer.
Absolutely beautiful, first class, 5 star resort. Scared and unique. You will never go to another place like this in the world. Top of the Andes Mountains, 3500 m up! The separate lodge we stayed at was incredible. Spa bath and could look at the star while we slept. Food was amazing and staff were friendly. Went to the Condor temple on the resort, it brought me to tears. I felt the power of Mt Veronica and the Sacred Valley, so much so I had to sit and pray. Highly recommend if you ever get the chance.
I would highly recommended this hotel for its revolutionary architecture, earth friendly environment. The rooms are great for star gazing and Mountain View. The mini farm provides a great home for all varieties of animals. We ate our breakfast here and get a chance to say thank you for the chicks just lays those eggs for us earlier in the morning. The owner of the hotel Mr. Carlos support the local foundation that gives helping hands to the children and adopt abandoned animals. We respect the charity he did and build this unique place for the people who admire the Andean culture and traditions. The organic shampoo and soap from local he provides for the hotel obviously represents his love for the natural environment
What an amazing place! The Stardome is beautiful, both the structure itself and the gorgeous property it is located on. We stayed in the Puma room which had a beautiful view over the valley below, looking straight out at the mountains. The room was cozy and luxurious, with a great bathroom too. Breakfast at the restaurant was delicious, and had an awesome garden below the window where we could watch exotic hummingbirds. Unfortunately it was cloudy and rainy on the one night that we stayed so we didn’t see any stars, but we did get to listen to the sound of raindrops hitting the dome and saw some cool lightning. The road up is a quite crazy, but our driver handled it well. It is near Ollantaytambo town…about a 25 minute drive or so. Really cool place to stay and worth stopping for a night or two! We stayed on our way to Machu Picchu.
If you enjoy stargazing, StarDome Lodge is great place to do it! It has a fantastic view of the Sacred Valley during the day and you can see tons of stars at night.
The actual hotel site is about a 10 minute drive from Ollantaytambo. Typically to check in, they pick you up from their office in Ollantaytambo. In our case, they picked us up from the Cusco airport for an additional fee. If you want to visit Ollantaytambo during the day, StarDome offers 1 complimentary roundtrip shuttle into the town every day.
Our room was very clean and included everything we needed to be comfortable during our stay. The staff were also very responsive and accommodating to any requests we had. The free breakfast each morning was delicious and consisted of 3 western-style courses. The dinner, although pricey by local standards, was an excellent 3 course meal of Peruvian dishes prepared with local organic ingredients.
Overall, StarDome was one of the main highlights of our trip and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, peaceful accommodation in the Sacred Valley.
