Just like the name says, at least when it comes to motels. I did a central coast road trip stopping at motels along the way. This one was by far the best for what it is, the one I felt most comfortable in. The room was clean, parking free and easy. I had a good night sleep. Great location as well, if you have a car.

We found this hotel was perfect for us. As 2 grandparents with two young grandchildren, we appreciated the friendly helpful staff. The room was well equipped and everything worked. It’s close to stores and main attractions. We stayed 2 nights and hope to return here again when we travel to see more of this historic area filled with natural beauty.

This place is clean and quiet but room is a bit stuffy. Needed to open windows & doors and run fans (wish fans were quieter) Although, they’re working on some improvements the place is quiet.

Happy to stay there

Great location to walk to Old Fisherman Wharf and the aquarium, and Downtown Monterey. They made early check out without asking any extra fee. They also let me park my car after I checked out for a few more hours, while I visited Monterey History Museum before leaving the town. It was a very good experience for me.

Place has seen better days

First off place was cheap, got the room for 43 bucks so there’s that. No air conditioning, just a fan bolted to the wall. Bathroom floor was dirty, but the bed was clean and comfortable, which is the most important thing. Office wasn’t even open in the morning, just a key drop box outside, so no coffee or anything like that.

The place is great for a 1-3 Night stay. Great location. The only issue I had was how hot the bathroom got when the fan was turned on. It felt like the heater was also being turned on .
