「Unfortunately the room requested was not available as we had our small dog with us so were allocated a dog friendly room which was fine but it only had a 4’6 bed which really is not expected these days. Following the downgrading of the room by the hotel and being advised that the room requested would be cheaper. The new price unfortunately was not honoured despite numerous requests for a refund so overall not the best experience.」

「Friendly staff, clean rooms and quite comfortable. I would have scored it higher if the thermostat on the radiator was working. The room became uncomfortably warm during the night, and I had to open the window because I couldn’t adjust the radiator」

「Room was much bigger than expected (possibly an upgrade) and seemed to have been recently renovated. Spotlessly clean and comfortable bed. Breakfast was included although my invoice stated room only. Apparently all rooms here include breakfast which was very good. Highlight really was the friendliness of staff which is probably because it’s an independent property and they genuinely want to make guests feel welcome. 」

「The room was clean, with modern/quirky tech features. The staff were very friendly and accommodating to our needs, providing a place to store our luggage after the check out time. The hotel is in a good location for the Redjet passenger ferry and the high street with bars and restaurants. It is also located a few mins walk from the taxi rank and bus stop that has connections to Newport.」

「Great location for walking to Cowes centre and for the chain ferry to East Cowes. Comfortable room although very hot and impossible to turn the one radiator (in bedroom) off. Decent breakfast although some of the cooked items could have been hotter. Overall I would recommend and be happy to stay again. 」

「Polite and helpful customer service. Clean and cozy. The breakfast is very good especially the fish. The only draw back is the WiFi - as it is free, its bandwidth is limited, so a bit slow and unstable.」

「Lovely apartment, with fully equipped kitchen and large, bright and stylish TV lounge. Literally a couple of minutes walk from the West Cowes ferry terminal, with a great choice of bars and restaurants on the doorstep.The apartment is at the rear of the property, so no street noise. If you intend to discover the island using public transport, the bus terminal is only a 5 minute walk away, situated next to the M&S food hall. Super friendly and helpful owner and manager. Hope to stay again.」

「I recently had the pleasure of staying at a hotel for a two-night getaway, and overall, it was a good and relaxing experience. The hotel's convenient location, excellent service, and serene ambiance made for a memorable stay. 「Booked this hotel as last minute, I come to the island often to visit my dad so this was first time staying somewhere different. Set up more like a b&b than an actual hotel though. John the owner was lovely showed us to our room, and even made sure I knew the code to get back in through the main door. He made us breakfast each morning we were there too which was nice. Only thing id say, is that there was no tea bags or coffee / cups to go with the kettle in the room so had no use being there....

「The room seemed clean, dirty towel that was left was removed after this was pointed out. Room was well equipped with coffee maker and kettle, nice modern bathroom. To our surprise the room was not cleaned during the day and towels not refreshed. Also coffee, tea, water etc was not replenished. Breakfast in the local pub across the square was not good. No fresh fruit for instance and the used ingredients were not the best.」

「Issues about the room Open the door - strong musky smell even with the window open. On arrival in the room I had to remove 5 spiders (each in different corners of the room) aswell as several cobwebs. Carpet had a massive stain upon entering the room which probably added to the musky smell. Room uninviting and very small for double. Décor was 1970's styled, looking incredibly dated. Bath had large scattered spots of paint so you certainly wouldn't bath in it. Can’t shave as there’s no plug in...
