"One of the worst hotel rooms I've EVER had in my life. Right next to a STAFF elevator that goes all day and all night. An air conditioner that would not stop at night and froze the room. When we turned the heat on in the morning, it ran for a minute or two and then kicked over to air conditioning again no matter what we did. I feel you guys should have paid us to stay in that room! SHAMEFUL. It was absolutely horrible. When we left and turned off the light on the right side of the bed spun where it was attached and nearly broke my finger. "The are no elevators and lots and lots of very steep steps. There isn’t even a dumb-waiter for luggage. The is also no bell service. When I ask if I could get help the guy said “nawh, we don’t do that.” There is no hair dryer. The carpet next to the baseboards is filthy. Your room features a flimsy key lock and dead bolt. It doesn’t feel “historic” more like sketchy. The body wash smelled nice. "

"Great hotel in a fun Detroit neighborhood, close to everything. Definitely low-key boujie. Downsides: no off-street parking available, had to use the valet service which was a bit slow. King-city view room was nice, but rather small. Roof top lounge was inviting and posh, service was slow. I'd stay again."

"Everything was clean, the staff was incredibly friendly , and knowledgeable. I loved the history of the building. The food from the golfing / blowing area in the hotel was not great. but the service was. "

"Well don’t expect your deposit back in a timely fashion, don’t call down to front desk for anything unless you want to get belittled! Called to ask about Uber Eats delivery and was treated like I was the dumbest person on the earth. "
