2 bed room apt was well located and easy to access. Staff helpful and reception area very nice. Rooms were quiet including in the evening. Situated in a residential building, which was unclear when booking. No in room WiFi (dongle required) and aircon unit is only in lounge area and doesn’t ventilate down to bedrooms (not great on hot nights). Overall size very small and furniture oversized for the space, bedrooms had glass sliding doors (only one with a blind), no great if sharing with family/kids. Bathroom was also grimey.

For a family of 4, the two bedroomed apartment worked well. We were in the 17th floor and it was so quiet. Location allows flexibility to travel by train to Southern Cross also. Will return.

We had a 2 bedroom apartment which was a good size, clean and cosy. It was also very secure with entry only with a keycard. It was in a great location, within walking distance to Queen Victoria Market and Flagstaff Station and a quick tram ride to Crown. Would definitely stay there again.

The hotel is in a great position. The apartment was quite roomy and we were pleased with its condition. The only criticism is the bathroom which wasn't well lit and the shower water pressure was a bit low. These are not significant issues though. Would stay there again.

Good spot , eaay access to trams to fet aroubd city with sight seeing, walking around to key areas, ie Victoria markets, crown casino cbd and shopping areas. Abit noisy with apartments around you and had to call 3rd day to have house keeping done with replacement of bathroom but itherwise comfortable and felt safe in area

Safety issue
14th Aug 2023 - At around 10.25pm I checked out from the hotel instead of 17th Aug 2023. Today (14th Aug) myself & my friend were shocked when we reached our hotel room at around 10pm to see our room door was not locked properly. What we saw was a piece of cloth hanging on top of the door preventing the door from closing. We were definitely worried and quickly checked with the front desk Mr. Lehnsher. He did came up to check if anyone does enter our room with a special device. Yes he did find out that the cleaner did enter to clean. I told him earlier that someone did clean the room and the door was not locked properly. They didn't do cleaning everyday but they clean alternate days or every 3rd day as I know from the reception through the phone when I first checked in enquiring on housekeeping. So far for these 6 days of my stay since the 9th Aug, they have done 2 times cleaning and I have no complain. They did a good job. What I think is that they may have forgotten to remove the cloth on top of the door (can't upload photos) after doing the cleaning. Hope they use a door stopper instead next time and remember to close the door back properly. Security is very important for all guests and we depend 100% on the hotel team. I am definitely worried and decide to check out immediately. No one likes their hotel room door left open for don't know how long. Everyday we go out in the morning and come back at night as we are tourists.

An apartment rather than a hotel
The Wyndham Melbourne turns out to be a side lobby of a residential apartment building that, as far as I can tell, rents out currently unoccupied furnished apartments as hotel rooms. The plus of this is that each room is a full one-bedroom apartment with kitchen and laundry facilities; the negative is that there are no hotel amenities like a restaurant or bar. There are plenty of nearby coffee shops and restaurants for breakfast, though.

Great location. Elevators weren’t consistently working so it made wait times longer. Renovations at the entrance made it confusing with two desk areas. The room was clean and staff were friendly.

2BR apartment over the weekend. Prime CBD location. Amenities fair: one aircon unit in lounge works hard to cover the whole apartment. Clean. Front desk responds to requests quickly. Noise in room next to elevator may not suit light sleepers.

Location was great due to accessibility to transport and shops. The lifts in the property was a little bit of a disappointment as more than 1/2 were unserviceable. On some days, no signage was displayed to indicate lift was being repaired.
