"Floors were sticky, fire alarm hanging down from the ceiling, shower curtain was half torn off the rod, electrical switch cover missing in the kitchen area. Train comes by every few hours blasting horn. Pillows so thin you have to double them over. Horrible. "

"We’ve stayed at this hotel in the past and it has always been wonderful! This year it was beyond horrible! Let me start by saying the front desk staff are wonderful, very polite, friendly and truly tried hard to help, but my goodness, hotel Ylem should be downgraded motel Ylem, the decline from last year to this year was astounding! Our room was gross, stains on the sofa and upholstered bed frame, room was dirty, shower was dripping so the bathroom floor was always wet, we found the last guests clothes next to the sofa which made sense because we had zero housekeeping during our 3 night stay. Each morning I asked for someone to please clean our room which never happened. Trash was overflowing, no fresh towels. coffee, coffee cups, creamer etc not refilled unless we physically went down stairs to ask for what we needed. There were no blankets on the beds, only 2 thin sheets. The room was so cold, we slept in our clothes. The next morning I asked if they could please have housekeeping place some blankets in our room, which they did not. We returned to our room very late that night so I asked the front desk for some blankets and all they had was 1 thin airplane blanket, again we slept in our clothes. I’m so disappointed and find it an absolute disgrace that this hotel had the audacity to charge what they did. I don’t care how busy or short staffed you are, be upfront that you don’t have daily housekeeping, and don’t charge the rate that you did for no service. "

"The staff didn’t answer phone calls, fees were added on AFTER completion of the payment process for the room/booking.. Security was a joke & the room had damaged ceiling tiles.. The “mandatory security deposit” that was requested AFTER booking was later explained to be for PARKING at the hotel, which meant my “security” deposit would NOT be refunded to me as another employee explained when it was paid for. From trashy service, employees with horrible attitudes, hidden fees, and customer service from the bottom of a hell hole, this experience was the worst and I do not recommend."

"Antonio, the front desk clerk, was amazingly nice. He made the check-in process smooth and brisk, like 2 minutes brick. He was very pleasant and informative. The location, as a Molecular Biologist whom works at several labs in the Medical Center, was perfectly placed. As a Houstonian, you are in Uber or Lyft distance for EVERYTHING like, Midtown, the Museum District, NRG, Houston Zoo. The hotel was clean and beautiful. The roof top pool and bar were so amazing. The shuttle to NRG for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo was a major thumbs up. My husband and I were grateful as we were able to drink with ease and not have to drive back to the hotel. The shuttle pickup and drop-off were perfect. I could not ask for a more better experience. The beds were a bit soft and the dresser has some knicks on it, but 10/10 I would recommend. "
