Fantastic place. Wonderful rooms and the best host team we have ever experienced!

A truly magical setting with service to match. We’ve stayed in many New Zealand hotels, and this was the first where the staff seemed truly focused on exceeding guests’ expectations. And boy, did they! We had room service dinner, and each—absolutely delicious—course was delivered exactly when we were ready for it, and at the perfect temperature. With no television, we had only conversation (mostly about the food!) and stars to keep us entertained, but seeing every constellation imaginable is an...

Mantra is a well located place with lovely 2-3 bedroom town homes. The washer and dryer were very convenient and efficient. We were provided with detergent and the staff was happy to provide extra if needed. Very well located and walking distance from the Old Church and lake. Close to restaurants and easy to spot from the high way. Try the pies at Run 77, hopt chocolate and amazing breakfasts plus free wifi. For dinner, try Tin plate kitchen and bar. Lovely Italian resto ith delicious food...

Very clean! Had everything we needed including a toaster. Beautiful view. Beds were comfortable. Very close to everything.

My first time staying at a Haka House hostel and I was blown away! They kindly let me check in early as my bed was ready and a towel was provided upon request. I stayed in an 8 bed female dorm but it felt more like a 4 bed because of the way the room was divided. The beds were very well thought out with little shelves, a reading light, outlets, and a privacy curtain. The lockers were huge. Bathrooms were clean and shampoo, conditioner, and body soap were provided which was a pleasant surprise. I...

Safe and good location for where we wanted to explore the area around Cook mountain. A very small town. Room are large with usable balcony. Overall, a very good place to stay.

Very comfortable motel with large bathroom and small kitchen. Bed and pillows very comfortable. Quiet location walking distance to a variety of restaurants and amenities.

Great overall experience. Comfortable, clean rooms. Friendly staff, Brenda from reception in particular was both professional , very friendly and helpful addressing all our questions. Thank you!

Beautiful lodge, great rooms, lovely breakfast and friendly hosts!

Very nice space in a beautiful setting. Nicely equipped kitchen and the HVAC worked perfectly - nice to be able to control temperature for sleeping. Appreciated the laundry and DVD’s availability as well.

Very nice motel with a very nice manager. Would stay again in a heart beat.

Didn't realize that we needed to be there by 6 p m called ahead, and staff was able to help us to be able to find our room. And get checked in at 10 p m. With no fuss at all. Room was spacious, clean, comfortable and met all of our needs!

Great~~

The room was clean and well-kept. Lots of space, and nice bathroom. Check-in was very easy, and the staff was very helpful in answering our questions. Great option if staying in the Franz Josef area.

Beautiful property and great modern aesthetic. One of the best hotels i’ve stayed at. Can only speak for the premium rooms, but these are worth snapping up immediately if available for your trip.

Westhaven Motel was an excellent place to stay. Not only was this a wonderful motel in its own right, but it is mere steps from all the glacier guided tour companies in the center of town. Nick (the winter motel manger) made us feel right at home, and was very kind to drive us to Lake Matheson (which saved us a 20 min walk on a very cold day)! Highly recommended.
