Clean room, comfortable bed

It was fine for a middle of the road hotel. I have a black light I use to find nasty stains and things, I found none! And, the bed was very comfortable.

This place is cheesy in all the right ways! I love the celebrity paintings all over the place, and even in the rooms. My daughter and I took some great selfies with James Dean and Charlie Chaplin! That being said, the rooms need a serious upgrade (burn holes in the carpets, worn out and ratty desk chair), but it did the job, and it's close to several restaurants in Thai Town.

The room was smelly and needed updating. Our room was right next to the office and we could hear every conversation , phone ringing,etc, which I’m sure meant he could hear our conversations as well, which was not very comforting. Would definitely not stay here again.

Manager looking from the window at what time you arrived. Can’t bring drinks inside the room. You can not play any type of music. Will not stay here ever again, even though location is ideal for downtown LA!

The location of the property in terms of access to the metro and Hollywood is excellent, however the area isnt great with large numbers of homeless. The beds in the room were comfortable and clean, however the room itself was very dated. The carpet needed replacing and was stained and had numerous rips in it. We had a no smoking room supposedly, however it was clear someone had been smoking in the room; we were promised air fresheners, but none appeared. Ultimately you get what you pay for, although the rate per night isnt exactly cheap.

Terrible area and poor service

They gave me a hard time about check in. When i got into the room it was clean. When i went to use the shower, i had no water. when i called they said that they turned the water off for a little bit but had no heads up or warning. Beds were not that comfortable and the parking structure sucks, very difficult to get in and out of. It was loud at night with all the cars and very ghetto area, pictures look a lot nicer than what it is. It’s right in the middle of Thai Town.

Overall decent experience

As with pretty much any hotel there are pros and cons with this place. Starting with the pros: the location is pretty close to universal studios and that area so it’s convenient. The room was very spacious. We booked a 2 queen bed room and the beds were actually separated into 2 “rooms” in a way so there was extra space. There were 2 chairs and an “office” chair as well for additional seating which was nice. The sink and counter space was nice and was outside of the bathroom, which is nice because you can get ready while someone uses the bathroom. The carpet felt clean, and the room was as pictured. Onto the cons: the area isn’t the greatest (but definitely not as bad as it could be) and I probably would feel a little unsafe on my own. The parking lot is extremely small and cramped, I can’t imagine anything bigger than a compact car being able to fit in there. There was a homeless person asleep on the sidewalk right by the entrance/ exit of the parking lot in the morning when we left. The mattress isn’t the most comfortable I’ve ever felt, which wasn’t a huge deal for me, but if you’re used to luxury accommodations or are picky about that sort of thing: you might be disappointed. Overall, not terrible and I wouldn’t mind staying here again under the right circumstances.

Einfachstes Hotel - nicht empfehlenswert

Das Hotel ist alt und nicht sehr einladend. Es hat seine besten Tage deutlich hinter sich. Unser Zimmer war geräumig, sehr dreckig und der Geruch im Zimmer stellenweise extrem. Dabei war es eine Mischung aus alt-verschimmelt und nach Urin riechend, wenn die Badezimmertür geöffnet war. Die Parkplätze sind winzig und nicht für größere Autos zu empfehlen. Das Hotel bietet leider keine Annehmlichkeiten wie einen Fön oder einen Wasserkocher/eine Kaffeemaschine. Schon die Lobby wirkt nicht einladend, weil man mit dem Servicepersonal nur durch eine dicke Panzerglasscheibe sprechen kann. Zimmerreinigung findet nur auf Antrag am vorherigen Abend statt. Auch die Gegend um das Hotel herum wirkt nicht einladend und eher unsicher.

Motel Fix

Disappointed at the lack of simple things like towel racks, decent chairs, lamps of any sort and other usually present items that most hotels have. Desk clerk lacked any real social skills and barely said a word when I arrived and left. Mostly clean but needs more modern furniture and upgrades to bring it to a Motel 6 level.

Great staff, spacious clean rooms good value.

Great staff #1, spacious, clean, secure rooms and grounds. Easy secured parking. Great value for the Hollywood location. This is a nice quiet space, very adult, families/kids not so good for that, as grounds are small, there is a pool, and attractions are a bit far.
