Orchard Hotel(Paddington)- a convenience hotel

We had 4 people with 2 double rooms. One room is very small but the boss(I guess) promised us that he will adjust another bigger room for us because we will stay for 6 nights. Luckily we got it in the next day when we back to hotel. Everything in hotel seems not too far as we expected. Of course you can't treat it as a modern hotel but it's enough for us for what you paid in London. The location is great. It takes around 10 mins slow walk to Paddington train station/underground. Convenience is better than anything. The breakfast is also not bad but I strongly suggest don't order continental breakfast. English breakfast is good and the quantity is enough for us. Even though we asked more toast sometimes, they were willing to offer. Orchard hotel gave us 6 good sleeping nights during our stay in London. We are willing to recommend it to others if you have budget control.

Gutes Hotel

Das Hotel wurde im Jahr 2012 renoviert und es ist sehr sauber. Die Zimmer sind typisch "englisch" aber in sehr gutem Zustand. Die Zimmer sind ebenfalls sehr sauber und das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Der Empfang ist 24 h besetzt. Zusammengefasst: als eine eher kostengünstigere Unterkunft für eine Londonreise sehr zu empfehlen.

"tråkig personal

tråkigt bemötande av personal, tråkig frukost och ej tillmötesgående personal. Bad om rena handdukar tredjedagen men de var upphängda igen på kvällen när vi kom tillbaka. Bad om nya men blev upplysta om att de har en ttedagars policy som vi inte hade en aning om. Dålig information. Bra med Orchard var läget men till nästa gång väljer vi ett annat boende. Tyvärr.

Gangavstand til Paddington stasjon, rent og nyoppusset. Lite rom møblert med dobbeltseng og ekstraseng - kun en liten stol. Trangt bad. Sjeldent sparsom frokost.

Tolles Hotel in super Lage!

Bis auf das etwas dürftige Frühstück und die komischen Bediehungen, ist das Hotel nur zu empfehlen. Die Lage ist genial. Wir kommen gerne wieder!!!

Perfekt für Städtereisen (2-5 Tage)

Dieses Hotel ist sehr gut für Städtereisen geeignet. Die Lage ist mit ihrer Nähe zur Oxford Street und ihren Einkaufsmöglichkeiten wunderbar. Das Haus macht einen sauberen Eindruck. Was typisch für die englischen Hotels ist, sind ihre beengten Platzverhältnisse. Die Zimmer sind sehr schmal, genauso wie Treppenaufgänge usw. Es gibt einen Lift, was sehr praktisch für die Koffer ist. Der Empfangsdesk ist rund um die Uhr besetzt, prima wenn man abends nochmal unterwegs ist. Beindruckt hat mich das renovierte Badezimmer. Zwei Personen haben zwar keine Chance gleichzeitig das Bad zu nutzen, aber es ist frisch renoviert und v.a. sauber!!! Und das ist bei niedrigeren Hotelkategorien in diesem Land nicht immer der Fall. Kleiner Wehrmutstropfen ist das Frühstücksangebot. In unserem Fall würde ich lieber nur das Zimmer ohne Frühstück wiederbuchen und dafür morgens in eins der vielen nahen Straßencafés/Pubs etc. gehen und ein richtiges English Breakfast oder frisch belegte Bagels mit Kaffee bestellen. Denn 6 halbe Toastscheiben, die jeder Tisch bekommt, sind meines Erachtens kein guter Start in den Tag, wenn man die Stadt London zu Fuß erkunden will! Also gibts einen Punkt Abzug für das Frühstück, und weil die Lobby ein bisschen kahl und langweilig wirkt.

location is nice, everything else - not so nice...

I selected the hotel based on the location and availibility of a room for three adults (me, my spose, and our 22y daughter), and not a sky price. In a sence I get what I want. But the room was too small. On arrival I found an old towel behind my bed, and overall cleaning was done in the same way.. Summarizing: I didn't expect much, but I did expect something better..

Basic and simple, nothing fancy.

Points to take in to consideration: 1) If you want to use an Iron, you have to do it in the front room of the hotel, if people are sat in there, it doesn't matter. 2) Towels are only changed every 3 days; 3) Breakfast is very basic; Location wise, it's really good as it's a few minutes from Paddington Station.

Potrebbero dare una saponetta in più e cambiare gli asciugamani una volta in più,e magari organizzarsi per poter far avere il latte caldo al mattino,la coloazione non è a buffet, ma si esce comunque sazzi; per il resto è accogliente ,pulito e se sei a Londra per vedere la città e divertirti e non per vivere l'hotel è perfetto,noi siamo stati veramente contenti del rapporto qualità prezzo;perciò lo consigliamo.Se avessimo speso qualche centinaia di euro in più (in 4 persone per 5 giorni) per avere i servizi di un 4 o 5 stelle sarebbero stati buttati , invece li abbiamo spesi per fare Shopping.

Lovely stay

The hotel was lovely very close to Marble Arch area which was great for getting a double decker tour bus connection or to use underground. Lots of good restaurants with walking distance. Room were a good size for our luggage and us. Only thing didn't like was had to purchase wi fi and its didn't work half the time

glimrende belligenhed

Overvejende tilfreds, med mit ophold. pænt og rent og levede op til forventninger. Et stort minus er dog hotellet service ang. wifi. På mange hoteller, også i den billige ende som Orchard, kan man som minimum få trådløst wifi i receptionen. Det som Orcard kunne tilbyde mod betaling dækkede kun 1 device. En normal famlie har efterhånden mere end et device. Det synes jeg er under al kritik.

Et ok hotell nær Paddington. Dårlig frokost og små toalett er det som trekker ned. Rommet var ok størrelse med tre senger. Ikke noe fellesareal å snakke om. Litt støy fra trafikk for de med rom mot gaten. Noen gode spisesteder i nærheten er bra.
