"The Pell Hotel is a great option if you are looking for a modern, more affordable accommodation while visiting Newport. Be prepared to pay $20 one way per Uber ride to/from Newport. Despite what you may read, the bus is inconvenient and unreliable. Staff was friendly and room was clean. My one complaint about the room is that you could only open the closet door about 1/3 of the way before it was stuck against the floor. Loved the convenience of having an on-site restaurant and bar. Beverages and food were delicious! We did not utilize the pool area but it looked very nice and several other guests seemed to enjoy it. Of note, there is no elevator. Thankfully we were on the second floor but I would keep this in mind prior to booking. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and I would recommend The Pell Hotel."

"Craig at the front desk and Frank who drove me to the airport were extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel itself was dated but clean and the breakfast exceeded my expectations. My understanding was they will be renovating soon in which case I would definitely stay again."
